(Parent's Point of View)

The Acey's house was flooded with red, blue and white lights as police and forensic people combed the house. Neighbors spied from their homes as some texted back and forth discussing what they saw from their view point.

"Where do you think she's gone, Tom?" Beccas asked as she clung to his arm watching police and forensics dash to and fro.

"Hard to say, I mean maybe her and Bria went somewhere."

"Possibly."

"Are you sure you don't want to call Ms. Benson?"

"I'm quite sure. I don't want her to tell Bria that something happened. No need to worry the poor girl."

"Mr. and Mrs. Acey?" A young tall man wearing a brown trench coat and hat said

"Yes?"

"My name is Detective French." He said as he shook their hands

"Hello. My name is Tom."

"I'm Becca." Becca said with a sad smile.

"Where were you tonight?"

"We were at the dance hall and then picked up dinner."

"Has your daughter ever gone out without telling you before?"

"No. She doesn't have many friends."

"And she doesn't know how to drive." Tom said with a shrug of his shoulders. Detective French rose an eyebrow

"She doesn't?"

"No." Tom sighed. "It's all my fault, I've been so nervous to teach her."

"I understand." He paused, then continued, "I have to ask, do you think he ran away?"

"There would be no reason for her to run away."

"What do you think, Detective?" Becca asked with shrugged shoulders.

"Well right now we have to treat it as a runaway case until we get more evidence but I-"

"Sir!" A man in a lab coat ran up

"What is it?" The man whispered something into his ear. "You're certain?"

"Yes sir. We are."

"Alright. Thank You." The man left.

"What is it Detective?"

"I don't think this is a runaway problem."

"Then what is it?"

"My team picked up two sets of handprints."

"So does that mean someone else was here?"

"We won't know until we get them back to the lab."

"H-how soon will that be?"

"A couple of days Becca, but I will make haste."

"Thank you. W-we just want our Taylor back."

"That is our goal." Detective French rubbed his chin "Do you remember what she was wearing?"

"Not entirely, no. I know she was wearing a black zip up sweatshirt, but that's it. Do you remember Tom?"

"Yeah like she said, a black zip up sweatshirt, I think she had a blue tank top underneath and uh white skinny jeans with holes in the knees."

"Thank you, we have to wait until tomorrow but then we'll put out an APB."

"APB?"

"All points bulletin. Let's other officers or agents know to be on the lookout, can you give me a description of her?"

"Sure sure."

"I'll go get a photo." Becca saida= as she walked into the house, upon closing the door, she sank to the floor and cried. Back outside Tom was giving Detective French a description

"She's about 5'3, uh 109 pounds, Brown curly hair, uh brown eyes. Fair skin."

"Thank you. We'll find her Tom. I promise." Detective French said, shaking his hand. Becca came out a moment later with a picture of her.

"Here."

"Thank you. I appreciate it, if we find anything else, we'll call. Alright guys, pack it up." He shouted as he walked back to his black colored mustang. One by one every left, soon the house was flooded in darkness. Becca sniffled and Tom wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"Hun?"

"Yeah?"

"We're going to find her. I'm going to call the hospital and put us on Family Leave until we find her."

"We can't just leave our jobs Tom." She said brushing off his shoulder.

"Well we can't go to work like this."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean we're going to go crazy. We're going to look like a mess and probably lose our tempers until she comes back." Becca snorted

"You really think it will be that long?"

"Right now, I don't know."

"Then why say that?"

"Because she didn't leave a note or text."

"So?"

"So I have to assume something bad has happened to her."

"You're just like the cops! No hope!" Becca said, storming into the house and slamming the door. Tom rubbed the back of his head

"Yeesh!" He said to the dark sky. Scuffing his foot on the driveway, he turned and stared at the dark house across the street. It was not usually dark, usually one light was burning. Did he know something? He would find out tomorrow. Going inside, he found that Becca had locked herself in their bedroom, so he took the guest room, as he wanted to keep Taylor's room open in case she came home. As he laid down he wondered in a whisper to the dark "Would she be back tomorrow?"
