(Alexie'S POV)

Alexie paced the floor of the living room, it had been quiet for a few minutes now. He paced to the kitchen and grabbed a cookie off of the pan and bit into it. The cold cookie was still good and the chocolate though it didn't melt was pleasant. He wondered how things were going, was Alina doing okay in there as she learned the information? As she saw the proof? He paced back to the living room and pulled the curtain aside looking for any amount of movements. If Danka had made it here, were they out there too? Just waiting for the right moment to strike them all down? He couldn't die now, not after he'd promised their father to get her home safe and see him one time before the cancer consumed him completely. Alexie knew his father would have his head when and if hey caught him but he would put p fight first if it meant saving Alina from her own death. A death that she didn't deserve. But what he didn't get is why not kill her as a baby? Why bring her to America in the first place and switch her out? Was it so that she would live this life that she lived without knowing anything about her past? Yes! That must have been it, after all, Arseny was quite the master planner and all his plans always came through. They never failed, not once. Except for now. The one plan where he was supposed to bring Alina to Arseny but hadn't because it wasn't fair that she die or even be trained as an assian. She had too soft of a heart to start now and Alexie wasn't about to let Arseny brain wash her into something she wasn't. No, his father would have to go through him first to ever try something like that. After gobbling down a few more cookies, his patience wore thin and he walked to the door. He hovered outside of it, shook his head and walked back out into the kitchen staring at it. He chewed his lip and once more went to the door then back out again. He didn't know how much time to give them, but surely it was enough time, they would have all the time they needed tomorrow. With that thought in mind he once more went to the door and knocked on it.

"Come in." Danka's voice called. When he stepped inside, he found Alina asleep in her sister's arms. Danka looked at him, tears sliding down her face.

"Did things go well?" He whispered.

"Yes, things went excellently." She wiped her eyes.

"Good."

"I'm afraid though that she is so worn out from all the information."

"Yes, or it could be that she finally feels safe. She hasn't exactly felt safe since we left. This is the first time she has slept without worrying."

"I can attest to that." Danka said with a smile. Alexie went around to the side of the bed and Danka moved her arm.

"I think it will be good to be able to lay low for a while. After all Boris and his men do not know where we are."He picked up Alina and carried her to the door.

"Actually Alexie, There is something I must tell you, it's urgent."

"Alright. I will be right back." He nodded his head and then carried her to her own bed. He laid her inside the bed with her clothes on. Then he went back to the door glancing once more at her, he decided that she wouldn't be very comfortable in her clothes. So going into the dresser, he pulled out a short lace nightgown, undressed her and then slipped it on, thankful that the lights were off. After covering her back up, he pushed back her hair and kissed her on the forehead, a smile gracing his lips. He rose, patted her shoulder softly and went to the door. Glancing back at her, he realized that tonight was the night that she truly became Alina Petrov. He closed her door and walked back to his room. Danka was sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing only his boxers and her bra, her bandage showing a pool of blood through it.

"WHy don't I change it." He said as he pulled up a chair

"No, no i"m alright."

"Danka this is not alright, you should not be bleeding this much through it."

"Fine, go ahead." Alexie got towles and bowls of water, then he unwrapped it, cleaned, packaged it some more and then wrapped it up.

"There, that should hold for at least another couple days."

"I don't think we have a couple days." Danka said with a cold voice

"What do you mean by that?" Alexie asked as he dumped the water out the window. Danka sighed

"I was only a few hours from the cabin when they jumped me."

"Who?"

"Boris and his men. They beat me up! And-"

"That was not right of them!" Alexie said with gritted teeth.

"They somehow knew I was here Alexie! I wasn't the one who shot myself! They did!

"Those Fuckers! I will kill them!"

"No, no need. It is alright. I at least made it here and while I did that, I led them on a goose chase."

"So then what's the problem?"

"It's only a matter of days before they follow the blood trail here."

"Then we must prepare." Alexie said, rising and looking out the window.

"How?"

"By teaching Alina how to fight."

"Bah, that's not going to happen, she will not be ready in time." Danka said with worried raised eyebrows.

"Can I at least teach her how to shoot a gun?" He asked, sitting on the edge of the bed. Danka scoffed

"I guess so. I don't know how that is going to go. She is so scared of things."

"We'll see. I think she has changed now."

"No one can change that quickly."

"What do you mean by that? Think of Dabria! She was once american, but now russian! She is a killer."

"I know that, but she was raised from birth to do that. Alina is different, she literally just found out that she has been living a fake life, that I'm her sister, that her parents weren't even real!"

"So?" Alexie asked shrugging his shoulders as Danka sighed and leaned back in the bed.

"It's kind of a hard thing to wrap your head around."

"I know it is, but we will come up with a plan."

"Like what?" Danka asked sitting up as she watched the mastermind think

"We must set a trap for Boris and his men. Because like you said, they will be here soon."

"What kind of a trap are you thinking of?" Alexei's eyes became cold

"One that makes sure they will never see another day."
