Hi I'm Y/n and i play Adelaide Rhodes"
"And I'm Drew Starkey and I play AJ Bass"
"And this is the behind the scenes of our new movie 'Rage'"
You sat in your director's chair while someone from your team fixed both your hair and your mic.
"How was it being cast for this movie?" asked the director from the other side of the camera.
"The process was somehow the easiest i've ever experienced considering how big the production of this movie is" you answered, a smile shaping your lips. "We'd just finished filming season 2 of 'Outer Banks', after the wrap party i went home and i guess i got the call but then i fell asleep and the next morning i woke up and thought i had dreamed it" you chuckled "I was like 'Shit that was one hell of a dream, so realistic too!' and then someone called me again two days later worried because i was supposed to call back"
"Did you know Drew had gotten the part too?"
You shook your head "No! He didn't even tell me he had auditioned! But you know, I get it. We go to many auditions that end up going nowhere plus we were shooting something else, so we had to be focused on that"
Drew laughed at something that was said while someone from his team put the mic on him.
"Did you know you and Y/n had been auditioning for the same movie?" the director asked Drew.
"Funnily enough, no i did not' he admitted chuckling to the lack of communication you two had made proof of during those months "Which still surprises me to this day knowing that we quarantined together when our show came out and when we filmed season 2 we were living in the same apartment complex and seeing each other every single day outside of work just to hang out"
"How did you find out?"
"I believe it was at the very beginning of pre-production, you know when everyone is sure that the movie will get made but they're still polishing the casting. I was at the airport going to Atlanta for the chemistry read and I saw her with her suitcase and everything, so I went up to her and I said 'are you following me?' because our friends from 'Outer banks' always say that it seems like we have separation anxiety from each other– which might be true at this point" his laughter mixed with the crew's chuckles filled the soundtrack. "So yeah that's how we found out"
Now you sat next to each other in the same room, ready to answer more questions but this time together.
"Was it scary coming into this movie?" the director asked the both of you.
"Oh yeah" Drew nodded.
"Absolutely! I cried everyday before work for the first week" you explained grimacing.
"Why was it so frightening?" the director asked. Drew looked at you to see if you both would have the same answer and you both answered at the same time "The cast". Your shared answer earned a chuckle from the crew.
"It was terrifying to see how many A-list actors were involved and I just walked in, 'Outer Banks' being the first and only thing on my credits–I mean, I felt like a fraud" you continued.
Drew agreed and added to your answer "And I thought getting 'Outer Banks' was terrifying" he chuckled, remembering that call. "But I felt better knowing that you'd be on set everyday. It's like going to school only to see that one friend" he smiled brightly.
"I know! You were the first person i looked for when i stepped foot on set–wasn't very hard to find you though" you turned to the camera "The guy's taller than the fucking Eiffel Tower, hard to miss"
