Chapter 12- Sleepover

September 24th 1976

Ma had gone on another all expense paid trip to spain to visit Abuelo and Abuela a couple days after my Birthday, they had wanted to see me as they couldn't come to my quince but Ma had refused to take me, and Frank refused to pay for me, so I didn't go. Instead I got to stay in the house all by myself (mostly, Josh was still staying but had gone out today to catch up with some people.) and got to invite people over whenever I wanted, including Noah.Noah and I had been hanging out almost everyday after school, and now I know him again, like I ever did.But today, because Josh was out with his friends, and Noah was on a day trip with his family, so me and the girls decided to have a sleepover. At my house. Which is crazy, because we never get to have sleepovers at mine, because Ma is always there, or a drunk Frank. God knows what a drunk Frank can do to me, let alone my friends.

"HEY MY BUTT IS FREEZING OFF OUT HERE AND ITS TOO JUICY FOR THAT TO HAPP-" Gwen yelled as I opened the front door rolling my  eyes as she stood there on my porch in late september in a tank top and PJ trousers. In one arm she had a blue sleeping bag hooked under  her arm with a pillow, and in  the other an extremly full backpack, slinging over her shoulder. "You know what I'm not even gonna ask whats in that bag" I said sighing letting her come in. "So why don't you have a jacket or any actual clothes on again?Its only 5?" I said raising an eyebrow and grabbing the backpack off of her to put it in the living room, "Heh, well err, funny story..." She said fiddling with one of the braids in her hair "So finney, and the rest of the boys are also having a sleepover today, at our house. Our Dad is working in a couple towns over for a couple days, and finney kicked me out because eveyone of the boys had already got there and he didn't want me there because it was 'boy-talk time' and I'm guessing its probably where they disscuss who's crush gave them a glance  the most this week or how many grapes they can catch in  their mouth in a row i don't know. So I went out the house and forgot my jacket and clothes" She finished smiling with all teeth.

I stared at her with a confused expression my mouth open and eyebrow raised, and my hand on my hip and all that came out was "Wha- you know what y-yeah, okay sure" in an exahsparated tone.

"You can borrow some of my clothes for tomorrow if you want and just give them back on Monday or whatever" I said walking into the kitchen with her. "Yes please" She said in a shameful tone, which I giggled at, as gwen sat on the island counter cross legged and I searched the cupoard for food to eat  as snacks.

5:23pm

Me and Gwen had gathered up marshmallows, chocolate,chips,popcorn,and the various sweets she had brought in her bag. And we were both eating out of the marshmallow packets  when the doorbell rung. I went to the door while gwen stood in the kitchen doorway watching to see who was there, the pack of marshmallows still in hand, I opened the door and there stood two very soaked teenage girls. "I didnt realise it had started raining" I said raising an eyebrow looking them up and down with a smirk on my face as I tried not to laugh.Gwen didnt even try to hide her laughter as she heaved and cackled and collapsed in the doorway in giggles. "It didnt" said Donna. "Some fucking dick drove past in a black van splashing us with a puddle." Ziggy grumbled. I giggled and covered my mouth, letting them in. "You guys can just go in the shower and change into your pj's now if you want too, I mean gwens already in hers" I said looking over at her and she sat on the counter top chewing. "I'm about to go change anyway just like, take it in turns, obviously." I offered. They accepted, and we all got changed and came back downstairs to the living room. We got all the pillows and blankets and sleeping bags and created a blanket house that was actually really big because of the amount we had, we put the blankets over the tv so it was inside and all the tapes and snacks and drinks so we wouldnt have to leave, we also got some fairy lights and put them around the outside to give some light.
