You knew, your friends were a bunch of mora-grubbing cowards, but you never expected them to try and marry off their strongest fighter to establish good relations with some wealthy merchant guild.

You were lucky, you overheard their bickering before they could approach you about it directly. That way, you had some time to pack up and disappear in the dead of night.

You were sure, they were going to track you down and find you eventually, but if they wanted to use you like that, they better work for it.

Eventually, your journey lead you to Sumeru City. Your initial plan was to just get some supplies and continue somewhere to the east. Maybe, Liyue could become your new home.

Your plans rarely played out as they should though. Walking through the market, hood up, to hide as much of your features as you could, your attention was drawn to some mercenaries looking for someone whose description depicted you to a T.

You couldn't possibly fight them, there were too many of them, and this was a fairly crowded city square, 'There would surely be a lot of collateral damage...' you thought and you weren't about to turn into some reckless main character of an adventure book, turning over cabbage carts and knocking over people for the sake of your escape.

Changing directions to avoid the men, you walked as calmly as you could, with how much panic was coursing through your veins. Apparently, luck really wasn't on your side today, as the men noticed your suspicious behaviour, "Hey! You, in the hood," one of them shouted, "stop, we have to ask you some questions!"

You winced as you picked up your pace, hoping to get somewhere, you could lose them, 'Shit, shit, shit.'

In your hurry, you accidentally cornered yourself, ending up at the entrance to the Akademiya. You face-palmed internally as your pursuers caught up to you.

You weighed your options. Looking down, frowned realizing you had forgotten your glider and just jumping down was out of the question, you'd just break something and still get caught.

Your gaze flickered to the entrance to the Akademiya, 'seems, like I have no other choice.'

Before they could get a grip on your garments, you threw your cloak at the closest assailant, quickly dashing to the doors.

'I'll just hide among the bookshelves in House of Daena and wait it out.' you thought to yourself before feeling your body hit a solid surface. The impact made you stagger back a little, wondering if you just didn't pay attention and ran into a wall.

That idea was swiftly swept off the table as you looked up, even through your temporal disorientation, you could make out a vague silhouette; grey hair, cyan eyes, oddly intricate outfit. 'Nope, not a wall.'

You were about to apologize and run off again, however, once you attempted to turn, you felt a hand at the back of your collar.

Before you could protest, the doors to the Akademiya burst open again, revealing the group that was chasing you. As the leader menacingly advanced towards you, he caught a glimpse of the man currently holding you back and paused. His other cronies muttered something among themselves before ushering the leader back out.

You were confused at their sudden change in attitude. Your body relaxed as you breathed a sigh of relief. One crisis averted. Speaking of-

"So." the man started, turning you around to face him again, "Care to explain yourself?"
