"You found out the real identity of the Darknight Hero."
"We have a new task for you," one of your new possible clients spoke from behind the thin wall. Their voice stern with a hint of snobby annoyance.
'Another noble.' You thought. This was nothing new, as an assassin and spy for hire, you were familiar with many powerful people, although they didn't know much about you, other than your reputation, "Listening." you spoke, purposely using a different voice than you did in public. The last thing, you needed, was someone recognizing you while off duty.
"I'm sure, you're familiar with the rumours of a certain 'Darknight Hero' wandering the streets at night." they explained, "They're a vigilante and disturbing the peace, this city is known for."
"So, you want them gone?" You inquired, with a knowing smirk. It was clear to you that whoever this was, liked to participate in some illegal business and didn't appreciate getting interrupted by a meddling crime fighter.
"Preferably, yes. We will pay good money for your trouble."
"I will consider your request, we shall discuss my rates next time." you informed, cutting the meeting short as you had other matters to attend to.

"No, Venti, I'm not bringing you another bottle. This is the sixth one this evening." You scolded, collecting the bottle from his table.
"But (Y/N)!" He whined like a toddler, "Pretty please with a cherry on top?"
"No." You dead-panned, shaking your head as you retreated back behind the bar, picking up trash from the other tables on the way, "that bard is going to drive this business to the ground. He doesn't even pay properly."
"I doubt, he has the ability to do that." Diluc remarked from beside you. He was washing some used glasses, "we're not a struggling establishment and he's counting on that."
"And your dandelion wine is the best!" Venti mused from his corner as if aware, you were talking about him. You were always surprised with how good his hearing was. It was honestly terrifying at times. You couldn't even imagine how many things, he knew about the people here.
Your eyebrows furrowed, wondering what he knew about you in particular. You sighed, 'Worrying about that won't do me any good.' If he did know anything, it didn't seem, like he shared the information with anyone as you didn't have any of the Knights after you.
Speaking of the Knights, you were friends with some of them. Amber introduced you, the first time you arrived to Mondstadt. She actually helped you get this job here at Angel's Share.
After moving here from Inazuma, you realized, there weren't as many 'work opportunities' as you would have hoped, but anything beat getting caught in the Shogun's war or getting your vision confiscated.
Your nightly activities have become a side gig and in a way you didn't really mind. To be honest, you only kept your old job because it was what you were used to and it brought you an odd sense of comfort, familiarity.
You wondered if you should abandon it entirely, but something in you, always found a new excuse to keep going. Perhaps, you were only longing for the thrill now. Thrill of not getting caught, knowing things, you could hold over people's heads.
Your newest request was still fresh in your mind, 'The Darknight Hero. Can't say, I'm not curious myself. It might be my most interesting request yet.'
"You've been spacing out for half of your shift. Maybe, you should go home and rest." your red-headed employer noted, noticing your distant stare.
