"Love at first sight with your arranged husband, Kaedehara Kazuha"
"Arranged marriage? Is father really that desperate to marry me off?" You frowned at the news, your grip on your pen tightening in anger.
"I'm sure that's not it." Your sister tried to deny it, not wanting to believe your reasoning.
"What else could it be? He isn't one to share his reasons, but I wouldn't put it past him." You sighed, shaking your head in disappointment.
"Whatever the case, he's invited the suitor for tea this week." She informed, patting your shoulder before heading to the door, "try not to make a scene when he gets here..."
Giving a grunt of acknowledgement, you waited for her to leave before letting out a frustrated yell, "I haven't even gotten to..." you gritted your teeth, eyes stinging with frustrated tears, "I'm not ready to be tied down, damn it."
Staring up at the ceiling, you decided to go out for a while. "Maybe a little fresh air might do me good."
...
Sitting in the branches of the biggest sakura tree near your family's house, you hummed yourself a soft tune, listening to the wind pass you by. You watched the pink petals flutter to the ground, making the prettiest patterns.
You were so entranced by your peaceful surroundings, you barely realized you were no longer alone, "Does the nature shine so brightly where I'm going... I wonder..."
"Nature is different everywhere, but each place has its own beauty. It just depends on whether or not you find it."
You were mildly startled by the unfamiliar voice. Frowning in confusion, you turned to where it came from. Looking down from where you sat, your eyes caught a glimpse of a handsome young man.
"Apologies, I should have announced my presence. But you looked so at peace, I didn't want to disturb you." The man gave you a soft smile that made your heart skip a beat.
"Oh..." You muttered, "is there anything you need?" You've never seen him around here before, so he must've come here with a specific purpose in mind.
"I suppose so. I'm waiting for someone and thought this would be a perfect place to relax in the meantime. Seems like I'm not the only one with the same idea." He explained, sitting down at the sakura's roots, leaning against its trunk.
"..." You observed his relaxed posture, "yes. I like to come here from time to time. It's quiet, far from civilization, nothing but birds and the wind to interrupt the tranquillity."
He nodded, "there is something mesmerizing about places like these, isn't there?"
For about an hour, you and the mysterious stranger engaged in some harmless small talk, both of you waiting for anything to rip into the calm atmosphere.
"(Y/N)! Where have you been? Father is beside himself, he thought you tried to run away." Your sister was one to break the nice moment, hurrying up the hill once she noticed you in the branches.
"I'm not a child... Tell him I'm alright. I just wanted to be alone." You spoke, deciding this was the end of your relaxation. Jumping down from your seat, you straightened out your clothes. You gave a slight wave to your companion, "Seems like it's my time to go back."
"It was nice meeting you."

"It's time, (Y/N). Father's done with the negotiations. You should meet him." Your sister urged, pulling at your arm.
