Chapter 2: It holds it's secrets

"Paimon has her stuff packed!" Paimon shouts. They're departing to Sumeru, exploring the desserts.

"C'mon Paimon, let's go." They're heading for the Chasm, from there they're headed to the caves so they can enter Sumeru from there. There leaving and are walking for a few hours now, they arrive at the chasm.

"Phew.. Paimon's tired.." "Ur floating.." "That takes a lot of energy!!" Paimon says crossing her arms, Lumine giggles softly.

As they head further into the Chasm, they meet an familiar person. Short blonde hair, dark clothing.. Dainsleif!? "Dain!?" Paimon shouts in disbelief. He threatenedly turns around but feels a relief when he sees it's the traveler and Paimon.

"U guys scared me.. how have you been?" He asks putting away his weapon.

They walk their way out of the Chasm talking. But Lumine feels that something's off, it's like they're being watched.. she keeps walking and thinks nothing of it. They head into the caves and there seems to be a new path..

"Explore it with me?" Dain puts his right arm on his back and reaches his left arm out to Lumine bowing a little staring at her. "My pleasure." She takes Dains hand and giggling a bit.

"Stop with the romance already and just walk in!!" Paimon shouts. As they want to walk in they hear some rocks falling, Lumine's weapon appears immediately and goes into her defense position looking around. Then she hears a familiar groan, but she is not sure who's it is.

They eventually head into the cave and it's pretty dark, Lumine raises her hand and creates a galaxy light with her hand making the whole cave shine.

"That's beautiful.." Dain says staring at her hand. Lumine smiles and walks further in, as they reach somewhere in and end, they can not believe there eyes.

"Oh great Celestia.." Lumine whispers. There's a cave full of crystals, it's massive. Again Lumine creates a light, but now even bigger, further in the cave you can see some things.

The ground starts to shake, Lumine falls of the platform about to hit the sharp crystals on the ground, untill someone catches her. It's a orange-haired person.. Childe? "Are you okay?" He looks worried. "I-.." He sets her on the ground and everyone is staring and her.

"I don't feel too well.." Lumine says putting her hand on her forehead. She falls, into a big portal. "Lumine..!" Childe reaches out for her but Dain holds him back.

Lumine slowly wakes up, where is she? She looks around, it's a big galaxy.. almost like the abyss.. no that can't be. Could she possibly find her brother here?

Lumine runs around trying to find something. But nothing.

She sees a bubble of liquid, she approaches it and touches it. It turns into a memory of the abyss. There's a short orange-haired person standing there, all bruised up. She stands infront of him and lowers thher knees. It looks like.. Childe..?

She falls backwards. "C-Childe..?" She immediately stands up and there's another bubble. This orange-haired person is a bit taller, he only had some scars left. It was Childe again. How did he end up here? Why did he end up here?

She walks away looking for answers.

Suddenly she hears a voice. "Lumine..?" It's familiar.. she turns around and sees a blonde person standing there.. her twin.

"Aether.." she starts to tear up running his direction hugging him tightly. "What are you doing here? It's dangerous." He asked her seriously. "Aren't you happy to see me?" She asks.

"Happy.. we were happy in the past. This is the future Lumine, face it." He spreads his arms showing the galaxy surrounding them. "I think I created the portal.. to find you! Let's go home.."

"Face the future!" Lumine jumped a little backwards. "Go back." He created a portal behind Lumine. "Please don't.." Lumine begs, "what is this place!?"

"No safe place for you. Other called the abyss." He crosses his arms. "You we're pretty concerned about that orange-haired person, you know him?" "He's.. no important doing, he tries to involve with things in my life every time and..-"

"enough, I've heard enough. We were once partnering up when I found him here, but that doesn't matter anymore."

He walks towards her and is about to push her into the portal. "Aether please!" She starts crying. "U can't do this to me, I've been trying to search you for so long!" Lumine pushes Aether away and tries to run another direction, until something goes into her stomach.

"You asshole!" Aether screams running towards Lumine. "I-Im sorry almighty king.." an abyss herald spoke. "There's no returning. When did you become so weak Lumine."

Lumine struggles and holds her stomach, her perfectly white dress has turned all red from the blood. "Send her back." Aether says walking away. "No aggression." "Aether.." The abyss herald picks her up by her neck and throws her into a portal.

Lumine falls trough an portal again.
