Chapter 10: Kidnapped

Lumine wakes up in the middle of the night, her stomach hurts so bad. She rushes to the bathroom and throws up. She sits back and stares for a while, then she hears a knock on the door.

"Lumine, are you alright?" It was Childe's voice. "No.. everything hurts." She says. "You shouldn't have been standing outside in the cold." Lumine stand up and opens the door, he's standing infront of it.

Lumine lets her head fall on Childe's chest. He catches her and sees that she has fallen asleep already. He carries her back to her own room.

"Aether, just come back!" Lumine shouts. "Why won't you go home with me!?" "Because I belong here now!" He tells her. Lumine looks at him in shock. "We- we- we belong together.. right?" She asks scared.

"Stop trying to find me every time, start your own life." He says while walking towards her. "He really loves you Lumine, he would do anything for you, give him at least one chance. Then do it for me." Lumine walks back from him. "Who are you talking about? Childe? We're just friends."

Aether is holding Lumine's shoulder now. "You love him, and you know that." Aether says. "This is not just a dream, this is a message." Lumine smiles at Aether. "Maybe I will, but i won't stop visiting you." Lumine hugs Aether. "And I do care about you Lumine, I truly do." "I know." Aether steps back. "It's time to go." Lumine looks down. "I understand. Goodbye Aether."

Lumine wakes up out of her dream, she's in her own bed again. She walks in the halls, and knocks on Childe's door. After less then a minute he opens the door. "What is it?" He says with a tired voice. "I'm sorry." Lumine says. "For what?" He chuckles. "For this." Lumine holds his face and kisses him softly.

Then they stop and look at each other. "I.." he says blushing. Lumine hugs him and he holds her tightly. She is about to fall asleep again, picks her up and closes the door. He walks towards the bed and lays her down, he then lays down next to her. "Is this a dream?" He asks her. "I don't think so." She pulls close to him and he holds her while they sleep.

Lumine wakes up again, her stomach is turning around. She climbs out of the bed waking Childe and rushes to the toilet. She throws up again. Childe walks into the bathroom. "Hey are you alright." He asks concerned. Lumine starts to cry. "No.. it hurts.." She says. He helps her up and hugs her.

He walks into the kitchen and gets her a medicine. "What hurts?" He asks. "Everything." She say weakly. He waits for her to be done, then he helps her upstairs. They walk back into his room and Lumine just sits on the bed.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asks. "I don't know, I feel sick, and everything hurts." She says weakly. She lays down and pulls the blanket over her snuggling in it. She turns her back to Childe. She stares for a while, but eventually she falls asleep.

Lumine slowly wakes up, the room is lighten up from the light outside. It is snowing outside. She stands up and looks out the window watching the view. She wonders what it will be like exploring in Snezhnaya.

She looks behind her and Childe is still sleeping, she slowly walks downstairs trying not to wake anyone. She puts her clothes on and grabs her jacket and puts it on. She opens the door and walks outside. She follows the road and ends op in a little town with tiny shops. She pays visits to all the tiny shops and bought some souvenirs. She also went by an healer, she's feeling a lot better now.

She is walking in the little town until someone runs into her, a big hat falls on the ground and the person too. "I'm sorry." The person said and he looks up, it's Scaramouche. "Scara? What are you doing here?" She asks. She helps him up. "Thank god your here.." he says with a relief. Lumine looks at him confused. "What are you talking about?" Scaramouche breaths heavily.

"Dottore.. and another blonde person.. I overheard them and they were planning to get you. They know where you were." He takes a deep breath. "But thank god you're here." Lumine stares at him in shock. "They're.. going to Childe's house..?" She asks terrified. Scaramouche realizes what Lumine means. "Yeah.." Lumine starts running back. "Lumine wait! Ur getting killed!" But Lumine doesn't stop.

She keeps running. Scaramouche thinks for a while but then starts running after her. Lumine arrives at his house and sees traces of blood. Lumine looks in fear at the blood and walks inside. She slowly looks around and the stairs are covered by blood. Scaramouche comes running in the house breathing heavily.

Lumine runs upstairs and Teucers room. Tonia, Teucer, Anthon and Paimon are sitting in the closet in fear. Scaramouche stands next to Lumine. Lumine sighs. "Thank god you guys are save." She helps the children and Paimon out of the closet and helps them walks downstairs. "Scara, can you take care of them?" Lumine asks. "Sure." He says. Lumine walks upstairs and slowly opens Childe's door. There's blood everywhere in the room. Lumine's eyes widen. "C-Childe?" She slowly walks in and looks around, there's no one to be seen. She shouldn't have left, she thinks.

She walks downstairs. "Anyone..?" Scaramouche asks her concerned. Lumine shakes her head. Scara and Lumi sit at the table thinking. Then a plan pops up in Scara's head. "Lumine, I have a plan, but u have to listen carefully."
