Sports festival 1/4

Today was the Sports Festival and I was having a full on panic attack. I take out my phone and dial a number.
"Hey Nerd what's up? We're looking for you." Kacchan asks.
"C-can y-you come t-to the c-changing r-room-" I manage to say between sobs.
"Alone or with-" I cut him.
"Alone.. please.." I mumble hanging up. I was embarrassed that's one thing I knew.

"Oi! Deku!?" The door slams open. "Hey Deku, what's wrong?" Kacchan asks concerned after spotting me.
"I-I d-don't w-want to ma-make a fool of m-myself." I admit as I feel his arms wrap around me.
"Hey, you won't make a fool of yourself, you'll show all those bastards from before who's the real boss. And even if you end up last, you're in fucking class 1-A of UA's hero course and on top of that you're top of the class. So don't be too scared and just trust yourself okay? All the extras are gonna be cheering on your ass. Heck, I'll be your number one fan if you want." He says reassuring me making me smile and I feel myself slowly calm down.
"You better?" He asks and I nod still in his arms.
"Thank you Kacchan.." I mumble sinking in the hug.
"Wanna stay here for a few? We still have 10 minutes before you have to head back." He offers.
"Can you stay?" I ask embarrassed an he chuckles.
"Of course Nerd." He says and we let go of the hug still sitting next to each other and I lay my head on his shoulder.
"Do you think I could win?" I ask lifting my head to look at him.
"You'll kick all their asses in a heartbeat." He smirks confidently.
"What happened to the Kacchan who thought I'd never become a hero?" I ask sarcastically.
"He realized that he couldn't stop you from becoming a hero.. That if he wanted to protect you then he should stay by your side because changing your stubborn ass goal was impossible.." He says with a sad smile and I blush.
"You're amazing and I know that bitch Monoma's gonna be there so, do us all a favour and make sure he doesn't even make it to second round." He smirks getting up and held his hand out to help me get up.
"Wanna good luck hug?" He asks opening his arms and I gladly hug him tightly and he connects our foreheads leaving our eyes inches appart.
"Do your best today, and don't worry about making a fool of yourself, we'll still cheer for our favourite Nerd. Got that?" He whispers making me smile.
"Yeah.. I'll do my best." I smile and he kisses my forehead and we both leave.

These types of moments make me think that maybe, just maybe, he could like me back.. Then reality hits me like a truck and I remember that I'm only a side character in his story.

I smile one last time at Kacchan before joining the rest of class 1-A who were about to enter the stadium.
"Izuku-kun! Where were you? I thought you wouldn't come!" Uraraka says relieved.
"Sorry I just needed to breathe a little before." I explain with a small smile.

Then the music begins and we enter the field where all the crowd was cheering. I look around and try to spot class 2-A and after a while I find them. They were on the first row and Eiji does a thumbs up making me smile and Kacchan that had a smirk and Mina and Sero where waving frantically.
"Hey Kami, look, Jirou's watching." I smile to my friend pointing their group. The anxious face of Denki looked and when he looked at her he smiled and was more confident. We were then in front of a stage where midnight was standing. Other classes like Class 1-B and oh it's Mei from support course!!!
"BROCOLI BOY!" She waves and jumps on me.
"Happy to see you here too Mei!" I laugh.

"Now the representative of class 1-A!! Izuku Kirishima!" Midnight says and I blink.
"Go Izuku-kun! It's because you were first in the entrance exam." Uraraka says pushing me all the way to the mic.
"Umm.. W-Well I hope everyone gives it their all and good luck to everyone." I say completely embarrassed and the crowd cheers and I run back to my group.
"Why was I not told any of this!?" I cry as Uraraka and Kaminari laugh.

"Now the first game will beee!!!" Midnight cheers while spinning a wheel.
"AN OBSTACLE RACE" She cheers soon followed by the crowd and we are sent to a large door where we would have to start.
"BEGIN!!" Our referee aka Midnight yells and all the students push each other trying to enter I was stuck in the middle. But a big part of the front was now frozen by Todoroki's ice. Many were yelling and complaining and I finally manage to get out and me, Uraraka and Kami finish too, trying to slide on the ice which and after escaping the skating ring created by Todoroki, there was a new obstacle.
"IT'S THE 0 POINT FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAM!!" Denki yells shocked.
Todoroki freezes some of them with no problem allowing him to continue easily.
A lot of people were still frozen of shock and I look around trying to figure something out. I see a big piece of metal from one of the robots. I take it, it might come in useful later on. I take one of the openings and use it to hit a robot that was in my way before continuing the race.
