Chapter five

Hailey's pov:
I woke up feeling like shit. How many drinks i had? I can't remember anything from yesterday night. I had no idea what had happened. First thing i did as i got out of bed was running to barhroom to throw up. My whole body felt sore. I saw Jay's note on the table. In the note he told me about last night and to text him if i needed anything. I can't understand, i have never drink that much that i couldn't remember anything at all from the night. Actually i felt a lot better after i threw up. I went to lay on the couch to watch tv for a while. Until i felt hungry and got up to get something to eat. Ughh there is literally nothing to eat. Do i really have to go to a grocery store. I know Jay told me to text him if i needed something but he should now focus finding those girls, not to bring me food. So i dressed up some grey sweatpants and black t-shirt and headed out. I didn't even brush my hair, i looked like a mess but i didn't care. I got to my car and started driving to nearest store. I pulled up to the parking lot and went in. I was in the vegetable department when a man came talk to me. He had a brown hair, white skin, green eyes and he was a little plus size. He came to ask me if i knew where he could find milk from the store.  I told him that i don't know where they are, but he stayed next to me chatting. I told him that i was in a hurry so he realized to continue his way. I paid for my groceries and headed back to my car. There was only few cars in the parking lot. As i was getting closer to my car, i heard footsteps behind me. I peeked over my shoulder and it was that same guy. "I already told you i don't have time to talk, i'm in a hurry" i said and turned around. "You shouldn't be so rude to strangers, your gonna regret talking to me like that, Hailey." I heard a male voice say behind me. What the hell? how does he now my name? I was turning back to his direction when something hard hit me in the head and i fell to the ground unconscious.     

Jay's pov:
I texted Hailey, but she didn't answer. Maybe she was still asleep? Ugh, i shouldn't have left her alone this morning. I should have stayed with her to make sure she is okay. I tried to focus on my work, but i couldn't think anything else than Hailey. "Adam, let's go for a ride." I said to Adam. I told Adam about my worries and about last night. We drove to my and Hailey's place. "Hailey, are you awake" I yelled from the door. Nothing. I went to our bedroom, but she wasn't there either. What the hell? Where is she? "Hey Jay, her car is not here either" Adam yelled. "what, where she would go, i bet she is feeling like hell after having that many drinks last night. "Can you track her car" i asked Adam. "Yeah, let's go to car." Adam answered. "Okay so Hailey's car is few miles away, next to some grocery store." Adam says. Okay maybe she just went shopping, right? "Let's go still check that out. I have a weird feeling." i said. I could feel that something is not right. Adam drove to the parking lot. "Hey, there her car is" I pointed. We got out of car and walked to Hailey's car. "There is groceries bag on the ground, that's odd." Adam said. "Adam, her keys are here on the ground too. I don't like this" I said. Me and Adam looked at each other realizing what is going on. We walked inside and asked to see the video footage from the parking lot. We sat down to see the video. "There she is, walking to her car" Adam pointed. "Who is that following her" Adam asks. We both sat there horrified as the video continued. The guy hit Hailey in the head with a crowbar. Hailey fell to the ground unconscious. Then the guy lifted Hailey in his cars trunk and drove off. I just stared at the screen, i couldn't believe how something like this could happen. Adam called to his radio. "Dispatch i need all available units. Kidnapping of an police officer. Victims name Hailey Upton." I sat there in complete disbelieve. I snapped back to the reality when Adam shaked me. "Jay you need to focus, we are gonna find her." Adam comforted. Then Jay's phone rang. Adam grabbed it and answered, it was Voight.
V: What the hell is going on? I heard your call.
A: Adam it's true, bring the team here.
V: We are coming.
It didn't take long till the whole team was there. We showed them the video. Everybody felt so mad.
V: Do we know this guy
Kev: Face id came back positive, his name is Clark Lance. No former crimes.
J: Wait a second, i know this guy. Kev isn't he the guy with Hailey in the Molly's last night?
K: Now that you say, i think so yeah.
Kim: I'll look for the footage from Molly's last night.
V: So was this person trying to take Hailey yesterday?
J: I'm not sure, he seemed like he was just trying to help.
Kim: Here is the footage from inside after Adam and i left.
A: There is Clark. He has been sitting there whole night watching Hailey. How didn't we see this.
Kev: What is he doing now? He put something in her drink?
V: That son of a bitch.
J: So she wasn't actually drunk, this guy poisoned her drink.
Kim: Okay, now she heads out, and Clark walks after her.
J: There is no group of guys, he told us that there was some guys around Hailey, but it was him. He was trying to grab her yesterday.
Kev: Look now we come out and he leaves.
J: How didn't we see this? How i didn't see this? V: Jay we don't have time for that now. We have to find her, fast.
Kim: Actually now that i look at the guy, isn't that the same guy that's been following Julie around?
V: Let's head to the station, i think this all goes deeper than it looks.
