As soon as they got outside the apartment, Kook dropped his arm and bent over as he tried to catch his breath, "Fuck that was scary. Did you see his face? I'm going to die."

"He won't do anything; Jimin assured us he wouldn't."

Kook snorted, "Yeah, the Omega with a fated Alpha that knows exactly how far they'll go. But if I'm going to die today, can I at least die with my stomach full?"

Tae nodded his head quickly and dragged the Alpha towards the restaurant they were planning on going to anyway. Tae was shocked; he was having a good time with Jungkook, much like he had with Jimin. He never knew that it could be that easy, that having friends could chase away the dark thoughts. "Are you sure you can keep this up? If he's going to go to her for her heat, I need him to see that I won't wait around for him."

The Alpha almost choked on his food, but he quickly recovered and nodded, "Yes, I can. It's just," he ruffled the back of his hair as the tip of his ears turned bright red.

"It's just what Kook?"

"I really don't want to die, and while you might not be scared of Hobi, I am."

Tae set his drink down and reached across the table, grabbing Kook's hand, "I know, and I promise it won't be more than this. Friends can go eat together, right?"

"I guess," the Alpha said, still apprehensive, but Tae could always put on the charm if he needed to. It helped that the younger Alpha already had a crush on him.

They finished their dinner and then went to see a movie; Tae laughed and teared up a bit at how much fun he was having. The entire way home, they both practically howled with how much fun they had, but the scent hit them both as soon as they opened the front door to the apartment building. "Oh shit, he's really pissed. We need to go," he grabbed Tae and pulled him out of the apartment, muttering, "Not today, Satan, not today."

"Where are we going?" Tae was a bit out of breath as he was being tugged along behind the retreating Alpha.

"My place, safety," Kook was working on pure instincts at this point. He had an unmated Omega to take care of and protect from the very obviously angry Alpha at the Omega's apartment. Kook's eyes were bright red, and even though Tae couldn't smell him, he knew that baby Alpha was pumping out calming and protective scents for Tae and to keep everyone else away.

It probably distressed the Alpha that he couldn't smell Tae and didn't know if he was scared. But Tae wasn't afraid, not of Hobi or the baby Alpha dragging him to Lord knows where. He could protect himself. He'd killed Alphas before, so he was fairly sure he could handle this Alpha if need be.

As soon as they reached the Alpha's den, Tae was pushed onto Kook's bed. As the Alpha went around, he grabbed every soft thing he had and dropped it on top of Tae. "Make a nest," he growled, "must be safe." His voice was low and raspy, but Tae wasn't scared. He shrugged his shoulder a bit and proceeded to make a nest like the Alpha asked.

Once he was done, Kook started to rumble about how he was finally safe. He sat at the foot of the bed and stared at the door like he was going to stand guard all night. Tae pulled out his phone and sent a message to Jimin, letting him know what was happening. It took about thirty minutes before there was a knock on the door, causing Jungkook to growl low and threatening.

"Calm yourself you little shit," Yoongi growled from the other side of the door, "you will not growl at my Omega like that, now open the door."

"Not safe," Kook growled back.

Tae could hear Yoongi sigh on the other side. Jimin kept insisting that he could go inside because Kook wouldn't hurt an Omega, but Yoongi wasn't allowing it. They argued for a bit before Tae heard two more sets of footsteps. There was another knock, and then the door cracked open. It made Jungkook growl, but once the door was open enough for Jin to stick his head in, the baby Alpha stopped.

Kook ran to the door and swung it open. He grabbed Jin's and Jimin's hands and pulled them both inside before he plopped them down in Tae's nest and took up his spot at the end of the bed again. "What's going on?" Jin whispered.

Tae told the two Omegas everything that had happened, and it made Jin's eyes sparkle a bit with pride. He slid out of the nest and sat next to Jungkook. "Oh, my big baby, you did so well. You protected Tae, me, and Jimin. Such a good Alpha you are."

The two younger Omegas watched as the oldest Omega turned the growling and protective Alpha into a ball of mush. He was pulled into Jin's lap as the older purred and cooed at him until the baby Alpha had calmed down. "Wow," was all Jimin could say before he turned to look at Tae. "I wish I could do that to Yoongi; he's like a puppy."

"It's not hard; you just have to know how to handle them," Jin mumbled, his face shoved into Jungkook's hair. "Now, go let those other two in before they break the door down like they've been plotting for ten minutes."

Jimin scrambled up and opened the door slowly just in case Jungkook started to get upset again, but he had his eyes closed as he snuggled into Jin's broad chest. Jimin jumped into his worried Alpha's arms and kissed him silly before talking about how cool that was and how he wanted to try it, making his Alpha snort as he carried him inside the apartment.

Joon walked over to the two on the floor and sat down next to them as he wrapped his arms around both of them, his rumbles adding to the mix of purrs and rumbles already. "So, are you staying here?"

Tae turned his head to look at Jimin, who still had his legs wrapped around Yoongi's waist as if they were the most natural thing in the world. "Well, I can't exactly go home if Hobi is still waiting for me, and based on how Jungkook reacted, he's probably extremely pissed. Not sure I want to deal with that right now."

"Welp looks like we are staying here then," Jimin cheered, "we'll make a big nest in the middle of the room and have a puppy pile sleepover."

It sounded like hell on Earth for Tae, but he didn't see any other choice unless he wanted to rent a hotel for the night. So he gave into the excited Omega and found himself stuck in the middle, with Jimin on one side and Jungkook on the other.

Waking up the next day was hard. For the first time in forever, he felt safe and comfortable. He felt like he was home and loved. He made it out of the pile without waking anyone, but just barely. He stumbled home only to find the Alpha still there on his doorstep. "You smell like him," he growled.

Tae shrugged, "Well, get used to it because you'll come back smelling like her. So you better get used to smelling other Alphas on me." He was being petty; he knew that, but he didn't care. He stormed past the Alpha and slammed the door in his face. He wouldn't do it, he wouldn't sleep with other Alphas, the thought was disgusting to him. But he needed Hobi to think he would.
