Leaving Moonsu was probably one of the hardest things he's ever had to do. The only thing harder was leaving Tae, even though they weren't as close. His Alpha made his life absolutely miserable every time he wasn't near him. But his heart was breaking. He did love her, and leaving her like this was just cruel. There just wasn't a way to make everyone happy, and Tae needed him more.
The poor Omega was without his fate during his pre-heat, and Jimin told him that Tae had never had heat before, so he must be so scared. He couldn't not leave the screaming and crying Moonsu in her apartment and head back to where he needed to be, with his fated. The journey home was long and stressful, made even more by the conflict in his heart.
Add in the fact that when Tae wakes up from his heat, he might hate him again. Lord knows there's no way he'd want the Alpha if his Omega wasn't in full control. He had to stop home and shower; there was no way he could show up with Moonsu's heat scent all over him. But no matter how much he scrubbed, the smell wouldn't disappear; his Alpha was punishing him.
When he rang the doorbell, he heard Tae yelling for him, but he waited for the door to be opened and for Jin to be invited in. Jin opened the door, his hair all over the place and looking like he'd aged 10 years since the last time he'd seen him. "Sorry, it took so long. I had to shower."
Jin frowned, his nose wrinkling a bit. "I would have showered more; he's not going to like it."
"I didn't do anything with her; she tried, but I didn't."
"Only because your cock wouldn't work," Jin grumbled as he opened the door wider.
"I wouldn't have, I promise. I went there to tell her it was over," he was begging for the Omega to understand. If Jin wouldn't, there would have been no way for Tae ever to have done so.
Jin shrugged his shoulder a bit, not looking even the slightest bit convinced by what the Alpha was saying. Hobi sighed; this was going to be a very long week. He could hear Jimin trying his best to calm Tae down, but it wasn't working. Alpha, Alpha, Alpha was being chanted over and over from the back of the room. "Go, he needs you. But don't be surprised if he pitches a shit fit over the scent." The apartment door was opened fully, and he saw the most precious sight ever.
Tae was rocking back and forth in the middle of a nest made out of Hobi's things and the blankets he'd bought for him. It made his Alpha rumble in approval that they'd provided so well for their fated. But once he stepped closer, the Omega was no longer happy to see him. He hissed as he crawled out of the nest, "Min, I think we should give them some space," Jin looked at Hobi with a smug face, "Have fun, and don't die. Call us if you need anything; he's just in pre-heat, so once he's done being pissed, he'll be lucid. Talk to each other."
Hobi nodded once and watched the two Omegas leave the room, which made his Alpha happy. Unfortunately, he still had a very pissed-off Omega, who was in pre-heat. "Tae," he tried only to get hissed at again and then growled at. "Why do you smell like that? You were with her and came here to me like some afterthought?"
The Alpha flinched a bit, "Baby," he tried, only to have Tae swipe at him like he was some kind of tiger.
"I am not your Baby; she is; that's why you smell like her arousal, her heat."
Hobi sighed before sitting down. He had to explain everything to him. He had to explain that he only went there to break it off with her, only for her to attack him even when he refused. But no matter what he said, nothing was calming him down. He got it; if things had been reversed, he would have felt the same.
He couldn't imagine an Alpha ever touching his Tae and kissing him. The thought made him want to murder something, and that was not a feeling he was used to. "I'm scared, Tae," he choked out as the tears started to fall.
That seemed to stop the tantrum, "What, why?"
"She wouldn't stop, she was so angry. She pushed me down, and even though I'm an Alpha, I couldn't stop her; she touched me, trying to get me hard, but it wasn't working. She tried to mate me, Tae; she tried to take me away from you after I told her it was over and I had found you."
The growl that left his Omega's throat was the loudest and scariest growl he'd ever heard in his life. "I will kill her," Tae started to whip around the apartment, gathering his things like he was actually on his way to do just that.
"Tae, stop; you are in pre-heat, and by the time you get there, with the way your emotions are, you'll be in full heat. You'll be vulnerable and with no one to protect you."
Tae cocked his head to the side like a little puppy, "Why wouldn't I have anyone to protect me? Where the hell are you going to be if not with me?"
Hobi blinked a few times before he smiled wide and walked closer to Tae. "You are right; I would be with you. But you know what sounds even better than murder right now?"
A small shake of Tae's head before he heard him grumble, "Nothing," and it made the Alpha laugh aloud.
"Why don't we cuddle in your nest and talk? If we want a future together, we should probably get to know each other, right?"
The cutest frown ever passed across Tae's face, "You are not getting into my nest smelling like her. No fucking way."
"Well," Hobi smirked a bit as he cocked his head to the side, "you could always scent me until all you can smell is yourself."
He looked happy for a second before his scent got sour, and he burst into tears, "I can't smell myself," he sobbed.
And that's when he remembered the minor detail that his Omega was scent blind, and he couldn't smell anyone besides his Alpha; Hobi cocked his head to the side, "If you can't even smell yourself, how can you smell her?"
"Your scent has changed. The sandalwood is muted, and the pineapple is almost gone. I knew where you were, so I put two and two together. Plus, I heard Jin," he shrugged.
Hobi laughed loudly; his cheeky little Omega was so smart. "Well, if you can't smell her, scent me until my scent makes your wolf happy. How does that sound?"
His eyes flashed blue before he pounced onto Hobi, making him fall back onto the couch, his hands going to Tae's hips to steady him while the over-eager Omega started his scenting. It was clumsy, almost like he'd never done it before. This made his heart flutter; he might be the first wolf Tae's ever scented.
Having Tae in his lap made his Alpha act like an excited little pup, unlike when Moonsu was in the same position. This felt so right, better than everything he'd ever felt in his entire life. He had a very happy Omega in his lap and his scent surrounding him. He felt at peace as if it all clicked and finally made sense.
He wrapped his arms around Tae's back when the Omega settled against his chest, and he heard the soft little purrs. "Feel better?" He whispered, only to listen to the soft snore in reply.
