Tae slept the entire night; the meds they gave him ensured that. But that was okay with Hobi; it gave him time to calm down. He didn't want to freak his mate out the instant he woke up. He'd sent everyone away last night. Jimin told him he'd come back in the morning, and he knew nothing he said would be able to keep the aggressive Omega away.

There was a knock on the door, and Hobi just assumed it was Jimin, but it was two cops. Beta's, by the look of them, "Are you the mate of Kim Taehyung?"

Hobi stood up, "he's my fated mate, yes. How can I help you?"

They talked for about an hour. They wanted to know if Tae had any enemies, and Hobi couldn't think of any. The Omega had always been well-liked, even if he was a little standoffish towards others. It wasn't until Jimin walked in and gasped that it hit both of them. "Surely she wouldn't go that far?"

Jimin sighed a bit, "she's tried to forcibly mate you twice now on top of assaulting you. I wouldn't be surprised if she tried."

"But it makes no sense, Jiminah, killing him would kill me. She wants me to die, doesn't she."

The cops were watching the two, "from the sounds of it, it seems like if she can't have you, no one can type of situation. And what would hurt you the most? Killing your mate and pup before you die."

They told the cops everything they knew about Moonsu and were assured they'd bring her in for questioning. Hobi got Tae's clothes from the nurses, and both him and Jimin confirmed that it was her scent on Tae's clothes. It was barely there, but since they'd had a bit of contact, it had to be her who did it. When Tae started to stir, Hobi made the officers leave. He didn't want to overwhelm his Omega after everything he'd been through. 

The first thing Tae said when he woke up was, "Alpha, pup?" His eyes were bright blue, and his hands were caressing his stomach.

"The pup is okay, I promise. You did good, Omega."

That seemed to appease him enough for him to drift back to sleep. "Are you going to tell him?"

"I don't want him to be scared. It was already bad when she was assaulting me; now she's trying to kill us. Maybe we can just get him to drop out of school for a bit and rest at home." He knew it wouldn't work; his Omega was too independent, and he was so close to graduating.

Jimin snorted a bit before rolling his eyes. "Sure, okay there, Alpha," he mocked a bit.

"I know, it won't work. I'll tell him, but not here. I'll tell him when he's in his nest."

The only upside to Tae's hospital stay was that they got to see and hear the pup every day just to make sure that it was still doing well. The downside was that Tae wanted to go home to his nest. The hospital was too overwhelming since everyone in there was in distress, and their scents were heightened. It was too much for the pregnant Omega, who wasn't used to smelling anyone.

"I know, baby. We get to go home tomorrow. " Tae shoved his face into Hobi's neck just so he could breathe.

The next day wouldn't get any better, once he told Tae what happened, well he can't even imagine how pissed Tae is going to be. He'd already threatened to kill Moonsu for assaulting Hobi but putting their pup in danger. Yeah, he wasn't going to take that one well. And he was right, as soon as he told him what they believed happened Tae was livid.

"I'm going to kill her," he swatted Hobi's hand away, "no you don't understand, I'm going to do it. I'm going to stab her in the womb as many times as I can so she'll understand how pissed I am."

Hobi humored him, "Okay then, what would you do with the body?"

"Throw her in the fucking dump like the trash she is, that's what. She doesn't deserve to get a funeral. That bitch tried to take my pup from me."

"Okay, that sounds like a plan. Do I get to help? It's my pup, too?"

Tae shook his head no, "You aren't getting within 100 feet of that bitch. I won't give her the satisfaction of being able to smell your scent. The last thing she'll ever see is my smiling face as the light drains from her eyes."

Hobi gulped a bit, his mate was pretty scary when he wanted to be, but damn, this was a whole ass new level of terrifying. "My big strong Omega, protecting me and our pup." He wrapped his arms around Tae, "can we cuddle for a bit? My Alpha is so restless and needs to hold you."

Tae nodded softly as he crawled across the bed to plop himself into Hobi's arms; the Alpha chuckled a bit as he pulled them both down, his face nuzzling into Tae's hair. "We'll be okay; our pup will be okay."

He couldn't convince Tae to stop going to class, but Moonsu was no longer seen. The police still couldn't find her, which was concerning, but Hobi just hoped that she'd given up and gone back home.

Tae's pregnancy was going along smoothly; he needed Hobi's scent as much as possible, and Hobi was more than willing to indulge the Omega. The only problem with it was Tae's responding scent. Every time they scented each other, the Omega would get excited and start leaking slick. But when Hobi tried to help him with it, as they did during his heat, the Omega would blush and run off to lock himself in the bathroom.

It was driving the Alpha crazy. He needed to help his mate, but Tae absolutely refused to. "Are you going into a rut?"

Hobi scrunched up his nose at Jimin, who had his own nose covered with his small hand. "Of course not. Why would I be going into a rut? My fated mate is pupped. You know how biology works, Jimin."

"Well you damn sure smell like it," the Omega grumbled, "I'm going to go before more of it gets on me and," he paused before giggling wildly and reaching for Hobi's wrist, "scent me," he begged.

"I'm not trying to die today, Jimin, no thank you, Satan. I want no part of your weird little games with your Alpha."

"Just a little, he knows your scent, and I'll get dicked so fucking hard tonight."

Hobi's entire palm covered Jimin's face as he pushed the eager Omega back, "Go away."

He went to the clinic Tae worked at, getting weird looks the entire way. As he walked into the back part of the clinic, Tae scrunched his nose up as soon as he made it through the door. "Why do you smell like walking sex?"

"Not you too," Hobi groaned, "Jimin said I smelled like a rut, but it's impossible since you are pupped already. I don't know what's going on with my Alpha."

Tae's eyes were bright blue as he swayed a bit in his place; his scent spiked, and Hobi could smell the scent of slick. He started to growl very lowly, which would scare away anyone who got too close. No one but him should be able to smell Tae's arousal. 

"Take me home, Alpha," Tae whined.

Hobi isn't sure how he got them home as fast as he did, but it was like he blinked, and then he lay Tae down on the bed while the Omega whined for his Alpha to touch him. It was everything he'd ever wanted, but he was hesitant. Tae was a virgin, and what if their wolves were forcing this on them? They already forced them together, forced the pup, he didn't want anything else forced on them.
