TAEHYUN held his head low as he walked into yeonjun's hospital room. his heart heavy with the thought of his best friend leaving him. his chest felt heavy. the stems slowly growing in his chest, the taste of blood lingered in his mouth quite often.
"tae?" the soft voice lingered out, causing taehyun's heart to swell. that beautiful voice that he has loved for so long. all this time of watching yeonjun fall in love with soobin, he didn't have the heart to tell yeonjun that he had been in love with him the entire time.
"yeah?" taehyun whispered softly, his voice breaking at the sight of the pink haired boy laying on the bed. "don't cry." yeonjun whispered, sitting up out of the bed. he slowly walked over to taehyun, wrapping his arms around the blonde haired boy.
"i-i can't lose you yeonjun." taehyun sobbed into yeonjuns shoulder, gripping onto the boy tightly. yeonjun squeezed the boy tightly, rubbing circles around his back. "p-please get the surgery." taehyun whimpered, looking up to meet the pink haired boys eyes.
yeonjun furrowed his eyebrows, "why do you want me to get the surgery so bad tae?"
taehyun froze.

"because i-" taehyun felt his words choke up. quickly he bit onto his bottom lip, and looked down at the floor. his thoughts jumbled around in his mind as he tried to find the right response.
"because why?" yeonjun asked, his eyes softening at the boy in front of him. taehyun looked back up, tears filling the corner of his eyes up.
"because i love you." taehyun whispered softly, avoiding eye contact. "i love you too tae, you're one of my best friends."
taehyun sighed, "no yeonjun." taehyun replied, it was the time. he knew he had to tell him.
"what?"
"i'm in love with you." taehyun mumbled, looking up to see yeonjuns face. shock lingered over his perfect facial expressions, "what?" yeonjun asked, to make sure he had heard it correctly.
"i have to go." taehyun breathed out, running out of the room.
"no! taehyun!! wait please!" yeonjun yelled out following after the blonde boy.
