Third pov

its been weeks since they escaped Kazuha residence. The small girl layed on the ground, sleeping soundly. The balladeer stared at the wall.

Xi mei was experiencing a dream, she shifted around as she saw blurry images and heard vague voices in her head. She could only make out one word, "starlight". she slowly woke up to the sound of the balladeer agonizing screams, she sat up and expected to see The doctor standing there holding the syringes but found The golden haired servant instead. she was surprised but stayed calm and asked The servant "why are you here? where's Dottore?", The servant didnt answer her question and ignored it by saying "The doctor wants to see you, Xi mei.." and then he looked at Scara indifferently.

The balladeer gradually became quieter, he had fallen asleep. Xi mei walked out of the room with Sora and made their way to Dottore's office. Sora knocked on the door and opened it. "I've brought her, sir.." Sora said as he bowed with respect. "ah Sora, go stand over there in the corner, I need to have a talk with her." Dottore said as he pointed to the corner of the room. Sora obediently stood in the corner and Xi mei walked over to The doctor and asked, "Xi mei, are you aware that you revealed yourself to outsiders?" Xi mei scoffed and nodded "yea,and?". The regrator walked into the room and looked at The doctor, "why did yyou call me here,Dottore?"

The doctor chuckled and said, "I'm quite bored, can you invite the people on the list I sent you to *****?" "Sure,but why?" The regrator asked, "nothing, Xi mei just went out with my current test subject WITHOUT. My permission. Right Sora?" He asked and turned to The servant that resided in the corner of the room. "Yes sir..", he said and Xi mei looked at Dottore in confusion. "Bring her back to the room and make sure you don't bring them anywhere until I say so." He ordered and The servant followed obediently. Leaving the two harbingers in the room.

"Your killing her? So soon?" Pantalone asked while sighing, "I've already gotten the information I needed from her precious mind. She is no longer of any use to me." Dottore chuckled as he pulled out a USB from his pocket. "While she kept napping, I took the oppurtunity to snag all the vague information of Teyvat she had.", Pantalone looked at him shocked and asked while trying to hide his worry "so you'll kill her? Just like that? Why not maybe..give her to me? With her intellect I can surely make her usefu-" "you're trying to protect her. You're trying to protect someone that doesn't even know the indescribable power her soul holds." "But she's just a child!!" Pantalone argued, "first you take away the important years of her childhood and then you kill her when your done with her?! Have you lost your mind?!" H yelled and Dottore looked at him indifferently.

"Argue all you want. She will die in a few days wether you invite those people or not." Dottore's voice became cold and dark, clearly disliking the current situation. Pantalone scoffed and looked down, "this is why.." he began and caught The doctors attention. He looked up at Dottore with anger and disgust in his eyes as he continued "this is why I broke up with you." he turned around and began to walk away, leaving Dottore standing there with a calm face.

as Pantalone walked through the deep halls he eventually reached the exit of the underground lab. he brought some subordinates with him and opened the message Dottore had sent him before.

Kazuha pov

"why're we packed up here again?" I asked and Xiao sighed. "I got a text from Venti to meet him around here.". "so did we." Ei, Sho, and Yae emerge from the bushes and we all sit in one spot to talk with each other and catch up with some things. Kazuha said "I wonder how Ventis been after this many weeks" "yea,he goes off contact for a long time and suddenly texts all of us to meet him here" Yae said as she chuckled.

suddenly the soft sounds of someone strumming a lyre came from the trees. they all looked to see who it was. "hey everyone, long time no see?" it was Venti but he looked..different.

"Venti..?" Xiao asked in confusion, (author will not explain what bard boi looks like so just search up 'corrupted Venti').

"sorry guys, I need you to come with me.." he strummed his lyre and fatui subordinates jumped out of the shadows,surrounding them completely. Venti got ready to shoot arows, above every fatui that surrounded the group, three arrows made purely from anemo appeared, seeemingly waiting to fly off. Venti himself held his bow in one hand and an arrow in the other. "hold on now Venti, we need them alive." "I know, Pantalone." he walked towards the group calmly and smiled, "you all will come with us." "why should we?." Xiao said with his spear, ready to kill. "because if you want to see your husband and daughter again. I suggest you cooperate." he then turned to Kazuha, the Raidens and Yae, "you should cooperate if you want to see Scara.". they all looked at each other, and they came to a decision. they calmed down and put away their weapons as they followed Pantalone and everyone else back to the underground d lab. Venti followed behind them with a sinister grin.

they were brought to a room with a window that showed a different room. "why are we here?" Xiao asked and then someone within the other room opened the door. It was Sora, the small girl was with him and Xiao glanced at Pantalone, "you see that little girl Xiao? she's the result of Dottore's growth expierement." he said. "what do you mean?" Xiao asked and Pantalone sighed, "it's your daughter." Xiaos eyes widened and he tried to stand up but. they all had somehow been tied to the chairs. without a warning, Sora stood behind Xi mei as she stared at her father in confusion and Sora pulled out a gun from his pocket. he put it near the back of her head and prepared to shoot.

Xiao struggled to break the ties and called out to them "STOP THAT!!! GET ME OFF THIS FUCKING CHAIR!!!-" suddenly the chair let him go and he glanced at Pantalone, "hurry up. your lucky I have morals." Pantalone said as he opened a door into the room. Xiao rushed in and took the gun out of Soras hand. Xi mei retreated to the corner of the room after understanding what was happening. Xiao threw the gun and pushed Sora against the wall, "Aether,what the hell is going on with you?!" he yelled angrily, not noticing that the golden haired servant had a knife in his hand. he swished the knife but Xiao jumped back in the nick of time. a fight had broken out between the two and Kazuha glared at Venti. "Venti! why aren't you helping?!" he asked and the bard chuckled, "but I am.". his words confused Kazuha and he turned back to look at Xiao.

Xiao was definitely faster than before, Sora could barely keep up with the dark haired male. Kazuha sighed and nodded as they all watched the two husbands fight, one trying to kill the other and the other trying to get one to his senses. without anyones knowledge, Xi mei had left the room.

Xi mei pov

holy crap! those two are going all out!, I was running through the halls and trying to find where the hell Scara was. when I couldn't, I had no choice but to return to the room. "hey! stop fighting already!!" I yelled but they wouldn't listen. Pantalone let out the other people and they helped him hold Sora down. Pantalone looked at me and said "Xi mei, help them too.", I nodded and moved to soras back. I pulled off his clothes and he began to move frantically, the older people struggled to hold him down. I see something glowing and press it. he suddenly let out a loud shriek, causing everyone to cover their ears. when he became silent, the man who was fighting him went to look at him. "Aether?! Aether wake up!!" "relax Xiao, he's resting.." the fox lady said, I was really confused and then she looked at me. "you are..were..the infant Xi mei?" she asked and I shrugged.

Pantalone pov

I hear my phone ringing and check who it was, '✨Robo-doctor✨ is calling', I sigh and answer the phone. "Panta..~" he whispered. and I asked "what." "thanks for the distraction." he said and chuckled coldly. I became confused "what do you mean?" "well..me and Scara have been moved to a different lab, one that not even you know about." my eyes widened "Dottore. what the hell are you doing to the boy.". I could hear his mocking laughter through the phone.
