Strangers

I didn't want to be at the party but since both Hannah and Kat were there, I thought I might as well go. I mean it was at my house. I couldn't really be arsed to 'mingle' as Kat had said.
'Y/N! You finally came out of your room.' Hannah came running towards me.
'Yeah. I just thought why not.'
'Good, you're here. Y/n help me with the snacks! Hurry up I haven't got all evening!' Kat said.

Hannah, my parents and I had just moved to Evergreen County. My mum thought it would be a fresh start for all of us, although I knew she meant for Hannah, her perfect princess. Oh well.

Our neighbour Kat decided to throw a party at our house - which I did think was weird - so we could meet new people. Kat was moving at the start of the year so it would've just been me and Hannah if not for this party.

'Hey there, your the new girl.' A voice called out from across the table. I looked up to see a boy, wearing a jock jacket, smiling at me, a drink in his hand.
'Yeah, yeah. Apparently.' I said raising my eyebrows and giving a slight chuckle. I started looking for Hannah or Kat but they were busy with Clay Jensen, Hannahs friend from the Crestmont where she works.
'Uh.. I like your laugh!' He randomly said. I showed him a confusing look.
'Thanks.' I awkwardly responded.
'Yo Monty, come over here.' The boy yelled, laughing at a group of jock's.

'Sup Bryce!'
This tall, fair skinned boy walked over in his Liberty Tigers jacket. He smiled as he saw the guy I was talking too, who's called Bryce I guess.

'This is.. shit, sorry I didn't catch your name.' Bryce said.
'Oh..uh, Y/n. Y/n Baker.' I held out my hand infront of Monty.
'Montgomery de la Cruz. But you can just call me Monty'
Monty shakes my hand. Wow. I get butterflies. I blushed a little and quickly look away to stop the slight smile across my face.

'Y/n, I'll see you later babe.' Bryce winked at me. Ew. I wanted to throw up.
'Fuck off Bryce.' Monty chuckled, shoving Bryce away. I rolled my eyes and turned to face Monty.
'So, I'm probably gonna find my sister and Kat.' I mentioned. It was kind of awkward.
'Yeah, see you around Y/n Baker.'
I turned around, heading to the front of the house. I still felt his glowing gaze on me. I smiled slightly but stopped myself as I saw Kat.

'Y/N!' Kat beckons me over.
'I want you to meet the boys! Justin Foley is mine and Zack Dempsey for Hannah. I'm sure you'll find someone though, girl.' She pointed at two boys, walking over to us on the grass outfront. One was asian and really tall. The other wasn't quite as tall, but had the best smile, which could make the saddest person on earth let out a small chuckle. And his eyes.. I can't even explain them.

The sprinklers had turned on and sprayed the two boys with water. I just stared at them wrestling around on our front yard, making a giant fool of themselves.
'Zack Dempsey?! Really?' Clay sounded shocked.
'What?! He's sweet! But ok, yeah he is kind of dumb, but he's the sweetest kind of dumb, which is the best kind.' Kat said, defending her choices.

'Sorry boys, can't have you in the Baker house all soaking wet!' Kat yelled at Justin and Zack. I walked inside looking for drinks when I saw Monty again. He was talking to Bryce. I couldn't help but just stare at him. He saw me and just stared back and smiled. I blushed and just walked away.

-----time jump-----

I had about 5 drinks when I knew it was time to stop. I had met loads of people and danced on every table in the house.
'Y/n, your wasted!' Jeff Atkins said. He was a veryyy handsome looking boy.
'Oh well! Guess I will feel shit tomorrow.' I slurred my words.

Suddenly, someone came up behind me.
'Y/n, I should probably take you home.' Monty took my arm and dragged me away.
'What do you mean? It's my fucking house.' I said before collapsing.
'Yep, ok let's get you out of here.'
'Nooooooooooo I wanna talk to Jeff.' I sniffed.
'Y/n, your drunk. You need rest.'

Monty picked me up bridal style and I directed him to my bedroom. He kicked everyone out and layed me on the bed.
'Night Y/n Baker'
'Night Montgomery'.
