As the sun crawled down the opposite horizon, darkness began to spread across the vast, gloomy sky. Branches submissively wobbled with the howling gusts as crispy leaves collected at the drained roots of the imposing, yet bare trees, building up into a thick blanket of brown mulch. A sudden shift in the wind sent the blanket billowing in the other direction high in the dreadful atmosphere, as it broke up into threads. Up above, a crack of light abruptly struck through the now charcoal coloured sky, followed swiftly by a harsh, piercing, deafening noise. Bitter raindrops hailed down from hell, pouring upon the lost leaves, pelting them into sludge as ice-cold liquid trickled down the brittle tree trunk, like the tears of a grieving mother.
