The deadly nightshade is extraordinarily toxic. Just a minuscule amount of the ingredients that make it toxic slipped into a drink could send a full-grown adult into paralysis. It can also cause hallucinations, delirium, convulsions, and death. It is observed in the top 10 most deadly plants in the world.
The deadly nightshade is known to represent danger and betrayal. It's said to be a property of the Devil, meaning anyone who eats it will be punished. It also means silence and falsehood. The Victorians viewed the deadly nightshade as a warning or symbol of death.

Taylor Swift's Point of View
When we adopted Ivy I figured it was time I finally got back out there and actually played a concert. It's been a couple of months so we've decided it's a good time to play again. Ivy has still decided that she doesn't want to be displayed and wants to remain under the radar for as long as possible. She's staying in my dressing room and watching the concert from the tv in there. She's that hell bent on not being discovered. A couple of my most trusted friends are in the room as well. Selena is coming and making a surprise performance and Ivy is swooning over her right now. She loves her music and is dying over her. Selena is smiling and laughing as she talks to her. I love seeing the two of them together. My daughter and my best friend just look like they are best friends as well. Karlie is sitting next to Selena but much more quiet since Ivy couldn't give two shits about Karlie Kloss.

"You're on in 10." I hear a knock on the door and it's the production manager.

"Will you be okay here all alone for the next couple of hours?" I ask Ivy.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I mean, I get to hang out with Selena Gomez! Oh and..." She looks at Karlie very awkwardly.

"Karlie Kloss." She waves to her, with the most forced smile I've ever seen.

"Right. You said I get to meet your parents during tonight's show?"

"Yes. I never do intermissions but I don't know if I can last the entire show without checking on you. Before the acoustics there's a 10 minute intermission and I'll have my mom and dad come over."

"Mom, I mean-Taylor you don't need to do that." SHE SAID MOM. SHE SAID MOM. BREATHE TAYLOR.

"Joe will be watching me, if you need him, you have his number."

"God, you don't need to worry so much."

"You're my daughter. I'm gonna worry about you literally every single second of the day." I kiss her on the top of the head which makes her roll her eyes.

"Not in front of Selena!" She insists which makes Selena laugh.

"Oh my god. By the way, I'm still missing that necklace I told you about. The one my grandmother gave me. I'm playing Marjorie tonight and wanted to wear it but it's still missing. Have you seen it?"

"No I haven't. Is there still just a gold chain in that box or whatever?"

"Yeah. It's weird."

"I'll keep an eye out for it. You showed me the pictures."

"I gotta get going now but I love you."

"Bye. Good luck." I give her a small side hug and leave the room. I can hear her talking to Selena and decide to maybe eavesdrop a little bit.

"You know how much she loves you right?" Selena tells her.

"Yeah, I do. It's just not as easy for me. I mean, I could still have my biological mom out there. It's like I'm her daughter but she's not my mom."

"Jesus, she opened up to Selena as easy as my legs when I first met Joe." I mutter under my breath. I begin to walk to the stage and I put in earpieces and I am given a microphone. I'm in New York right now, so it only makes sense. All the lights in the crowd go off and everyone loses their absolute shit. The beginning to Welcome to New York begins and I continue to remain hidden in the shadows. I step into some fog and then all the lights shine on me.
