Part 20 Return

With Kakashi

Kakashi saw Akira making a move as she engaged with the enemy ninja. This lead all the ninja away and gave him the opportunity to sneak towards the tent where shizune was being held.

He was sure she wouldnt be left completely unguarded despite Akira's ambush, so he snuck toward it carefully, and checked for the number and location of the enemy ninja.

Akira was right, shizune was being held in the center of the tent, tied to a large wooden log lodged in the ground. The rope looked pretty thick and would get cut so easily with just one slash of a kunai. So i need to take care of the ninja first, but that meant leaving shizune vulnerable. Luckily only 3 ninja stayed behind near shizune, but he guessed they were also the strongest of the group.

Kakashi made a plan to strike at the ninja closest to Shizune first, so that the other ninja would need to get past him in order to attack her and then make a shadow clone to cut shizunes ropes while he himself took on the other 2 ninja.

Going back over the plan and looking for any potential holes, he decided it was the best possible way and he had to be quick. After all, Akira was taking out those ninja fast. He couldnt afford to get spotted.

He used a simple body flicker technique to reach the ninja closest to shizune. The ninja immediately noticed him but wasn't fast enough to react. Kakashi quickly made a strong and fast slice across his back, killing him instantly. The two other ninja noticed him and quickly ran toward him ready to attack.

"Shadow clone jutsu!" Kakashi made a show clone which ran toward shizune and started cutting at the rope binding her with a kunai.

The real kakashi used a strong wind style ninjutsu, deterring the ninja from reaching shizune and pushing them farther away. It also caused the tent itself to blow apart.

"Raikiri!" Kakashi used his signature assassination jutsu to do away with they two ninja quickly.

However, it wasnt over yet.

Kakashi felt his shadow clone get taken down from behind.

"Damn it! Ive been had, I shouldnt have been so careless!" He thought as he saw a group of 5 ninja approach toward shizune. Shizune was still unconscious from exhaustion. They must have seen through them.

He moved as fast as he could toward her l, but he was almost sure he wouldnt make it in time.

He thanked the gods when he saw Akira leap in take down the ninja closest to shizune, making the others halt.

"Kakashi san, take Shizune san away, ill take care of these guys and catch up!" She assured him

"Got it." Kakashi nodded, thankful for the backup.

Kakashi picked up Shizune and immediately departed, as fast as he could toward the forest, still cautious in case any more ninja showed up.

As he left the enemy tents he felt Shizune grunt in his hands.

"Shizune!?" Kakashi looked down at her

Her hurt and exhausted face twitched as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Kakashi san?" She muttered as her fatigued eyes met his.

"Yeah, its me, dont worry, you're gonna be ok."
He reassured her

She smiled sadly as a she let a lone tear slip.

"Whats wrong?" He asked her
