What do you do?
When your own breath
Becomes toxic to you
When it breathes different
Because you're there
When it hardly breathes
When you're not
When it's so confusing
It feels like it has a mind
Of its own
What do you do?
When it's breath
That breathesWhen hearts can beat
For their own sake
For another's
Instead of yours
When they don't break
When they're supposed to
Veins allowing the evil blood
To still flow throughWhat do you do?
When thorns open their arms
To embrace you
And you can't resist
The invitation
Time and again
Growing weaker
To painful prickly
Temptation
What do you do?
When your feet are impatient
To run back to the dungeons
That chained them
When your mind is convinced
That this bondage
Is a new form of entertainmentWhat do you do?
When you can't help
But love
Someone you should hate
I jest
When you can't help
But love
Someone that forgets your name
I jest still
They just
Couldn't care less
Whether they were tears
Or just the rain
When you can't help
But be there
When you know they'd never
Do the same
When you can't help
Your dignity
Drowning in the drain
But why then?
Can't you help
Yourself
You don't even know
Coz you just
Can't help it.
