The Chaos Of Kindness

O great god of time
The Ages are collapsing
Underneath your twisted spine
I see Shakespear in my garden
Pulling at my grapevine
Asking how he came ashore here
"By providence divine."

Beyond the outer courtyard
The Wright brothers arrive
Decked in a strange contraption
Descended from the sky
With fire breathing dragons
Tailing close behind
And atop their moonlit backs
Egyptian kings
Still mummified

Then I hear the distant chanting
Of ancient unknown tribes
Yelling ♤■●◇○ the world is ending
In the language of whispers
Dessicated tongues
Tongue tied

The convergence is upon us
What once was death has died
And everything it once had claimed
Has escaped the Other Side
And everything that life would bring
Has brought itself alive
Now former things and unseen things
Are approaching with the tide

I'm worried for my garden
They'll drink up all my wine
Those Viking brutes are halfway through
The barrels I tried to hide
And Shakespeare isn't helping
Cleopatra doesn't mind
She's glued to Sauron and Big Foot
Comparing sneaker size
Now Fiction walks among us
Heaving condescending sighs
While Reality is broken
Tears colouring her eyes
Throwing up next to Surprise
'Sea sickness,' Reality whispers
'Uugghhh! It's like I'm going to die.'

Death chuckles at the sight
My flowers
Dimming in his light
Dark showers
Ruining the delight
Of my garden

O great god of time
I've compiled the list of damages
In this form you have to sign

Minotaurs ate my rabbits
Humpty Dumpty shattered my vases
Said it was only force of habit
Piecing together his scattered faces
Dinosaur droppings in different places
Is it too late to say, 'I've had it!'
Sometimes in a bid to help
I end up taking all the damage
And coz helping halfway isn't me
You use that to your advantage
To exploit the advantage that is me
To deal with all your baggage
