The School of Fishes

Thanjavur - palace,
Midnight,

Karikalan was patrolling around the city, Nandhini knew that it was difficult to surpass Karikalan and go the temple.

Nandhini walked into Urvashi's chamber to ask an idea. Nandhini entered the chamber to see and hear Urvashi sleep snoring out loud. Nandhini face palmed herself.

Nandhini called out Urvashi's name to wake her up. Urvashi showed no sign of waking up. Nandhini finally shook Urvashi with force, causing her to roll off the bed.

Urvashi screamed loudly as she rolled off the bed. " SAVE ME !THERE IS A GHOST IN MY ROOM.AMMA, APPA SAVE ME." Her eyes was still closed when she fell.

Nandhini cursed herself for calling Urvashi with her to the so called tour. Nandhini bent down to Urvashi and tapped on her cheeks," Hey Urvashi, wake up, we have to go."

Urvashi slowly opened her eyes to see Nandhini in front of her. Urvashi imidiatly go up from her place and corrected her hair. She felt very embarassed " Akka..... When did you come?" Asked Urvashi slowly.

Nandhini face palmed herself once again and replied " I came here five minutes ago, we have to go to the temple Urvashi." . " Yes akka I am ready let's go " said Urvashi as she started walking towards the door.

Nandini stopped her and told, "there is a problem". "What problem akka?" asked Urvashi. " Karikalan has somehow gotten the information that some spies have entered the city " explained Nandhini. " What do we do now akka?" Asked Urvashi.

" Even I don't know Urvashi, do you have any idea?" Asked Nandhini. Urvashi thought deeply for a long time and told " Akka I have an idea" ." What idea?" Asked Nandhini with hope.

" Akka as you told karikalan only knows that you are Achangar veetu peen." Told Urvashi, Nandhini nodded. " But he doesn't know that you are Queen Nandhini " continued Urvashi.

Nandhini very well understood what to do she looked at Urvashi and gave her a proud smirk. " Get ready Urvashi "told Nandhini as she went to her chamber.

Adhita karikalan was patrolling near a field with some soldiers a bit far away from the palace, but near to the temple. he asked the soldiers leave him alone for some time. The soldier nodded and left him .

Suddenly he heard a sound of something moving in the tall grasses of rice , the sound of splashing water made him more suspicious.

" Who's there" he asked, he didn't get any reply. He heard the same sound from behind him.

He didn't turn black instead he stayed still in his place his hands automatically went to the sword at his waist. He tightened his grip on the sword's handel.

He pulled the sword out of its pouch and turned around defending from another sword which came from behind in a split second.

He saw that the sword was wielded by a woman, it was the same woman masked who he had met in the battlefield of Sevur. ' Princess of Pandiyas.'

The woman in back on a black horse circled karikalan. The horse had another woman dressed in black , whom he hadn't seen back then.

"What is the princess of Pandiyas doing here?" Questioned Karikalan ready to defend/attack the opponent. " Oh so you remember me?" Asked the woman.

"Ofcourse I do , how can I forget the daughter of the infamous Veera pandiyan." Replied karikalan with a smirk.

"Then be ready to face her anger too" told the female as she pounce on karikalan with her sword.

Karikalan dogged it, it was his turn to attack now. He swinged his sword in a way to cut her throat but was blocked by her Sword.

Karikalan tried to get to his horse tied near the field. As he started running towards it ,the princess started to chase him, he was about to get on his house when he was kicked from behind.

He fell on the ground with full force, the water in the paddy fields splashed on his face . His sword fell on the other side. The princess started to swing her sword furiously.

He dogged every attack from her. Karikalan tried to get to his sword , at that moment his attention diverted from her, using this as a perfect chance, she slashed karikalan's arm with her sword.

Karikalan winced in pain , blood oozed out of his wound. Her eyes looked satisfied seeing the blood. Nandhini tried to karikalan to the ground and choke him but it ended in vain as he did a black flip and dogged it too.

Finally at last Nandhini held karikalan with her elbow against the tree. His one hand tried to escape and the other tried to remove the cloth off her face.

Nandhini screamed in agony as she was about to stab him with her sword but he fainted in her arms before she could do so, she turned back to see Urvashi who had some anesthesia darts in her hands.

Nandhini closed her eyes in defeat and sighed, for a movement she forgot everything, her motive was to kill Karikalan.

She left karikalan there , he felt on the ground with a splash. Nandhini climbed her horse and signalled Urvashi to climb behind her.

Urvashi climbed and they started to go towards the temple. They got down once they reached. The looked around to see some Pandiyans standing in the entrance. They bowed at Nandhini, she entered inside the temple.

They followed her, she walked inside and turned towards them . Nandini's eyes searched for Amarabhiujhangan but he was nowhere at sight.

" Where is Amaran?" Asked Nandhini.
" He didn't come Arasi, he had some work regarding the taxes ." Replied Ravidasan.

Nandhini nodded, " so do you know why you are here ?" Asked Nandhini to the trust worthy spies from madurai.

" Well we have found out who sent the message which provoked Karikalan to kill Chakravarthy. " Continued Nandhini.

" Who is that bastard ?" Asked Soman .

" It is none other than the senadhipathi - Kalanthakan ."replied Nandhini." Why would Chola Nadu's senadhipathi want to kill our King "asked Deveralan.

" He had some personal Vengeance towards father I guess" told Nandhini.

" I don't have much time to talk with you the sun will rise in a few hour, I will have to return to the palace before the sun rises." Continued Nandhini.

" How can we help you arasi?" Asked Soman ."I want your help to kill him" told Nandhini. Urvashi's face paled.
" Sure , but how?" Asked Soman .

" We will have to divert the people/ soldiers to kill him, it is not so easy to Kill him as he is the Senadhipathi."Told Nandhini.

Everyone nodded " How?" Asked Ravidasan. Nandhini just looked at Devaralan and smirked.

What has Nandhini Planed ? Will karikalan find out who the princess is?
