Fire and Ice At Kadambore

Thanjai Palace,
Early morning,

Nandhini had woken up early and got ready. Karikalan has gone to get ready.

Nandini thought of visiting the child, before leaving for Kadambor. She went to Kundavai's chamber.

Kundavai opened the door, her face paled as soon as she saw Nandhini.

" What have you planned to do now," asked Kundavai tensed.

" Why would I always come up with a plan? I am here to see my nephew." Told Nandhini with a smile.

Kundavai looked at Nandhini suspiciously, Nandhini remained smiled at her. Kundavai moved back to let Nandhini walk inside.

Nandini saw Vallavan sleeping on the bed. She went and sat beside him and creased his hair.

" Vallava, please forgive me for what I did. "Nandhini whispered in the ears of the child who was sleeping.

Even though Nandhini had become cold-hearted after her father's death, somewhere in her heart she felt guilty for everything she had done.

Nandhini gently kissed Vallavan's forehead and looked at kundavai who was keenly watching her and action.

" Don't worry princess, I have done nothing this time" said Nandhini after seeing kundavai in a stressed state.

After a long pause, Nandhini continued " I will be leaving Thanjavur for a few days with your brother." This information brightened Kundavai's face.

"Oh don't get happy Ilavarasi, my friend Urvashi will be staying here to keep an eye on everyone here" told Nandhini.

The brightness in Kundavai's face immediately drained. Kundavai just nodded, and Nandhini left the chamber.

In Karikalan's chamber,

Someone trustworthy soldiers were summoned by Karikalan as soon as he got ready. " So soldiers, I have called you here for an important mission." Informed karikalan.

"We are ready to accomplish the mission even if our life goes" voved the soldiers.

" So you will be investing all around the country about the abathudivagal, your team will be led by Parthibandhran." Informed Karikalan.

" Parthibandhra, you take some other soldiers with you and block all the entrances and exits to the country." Instructed Karikalan. Everyone nodded.

" The Velaikaran group will be helping you to find them. Most of our soldiers will be patrolling around the Sivan temple which is a bit away from the palace. " Told Karikalan.

Just as he was instructing them, Nandhini entered the chamber all of a sudden. Everyone bowed down at him.

" Am I interrupting something, important?" Asked Nandhini.

" Oh no, definitely not, we were just winding up" told Karikalan as he asked everyone to leave. As everyone left, Nandhini walked closer to Karikalan.

" Do you wish to tell me what it is ?" Asked Nandhini.

" Ofcourse, what's there in it?,I have arranged a group of soldiers for the investigation about the senadhipathi's death." Replied Karikalan.

" Oh, So when do we leave" asked Nandhini as she started to think of another plan.

"By noon" replied Karikalan. " Ok, so let's have our lunch and leave" told Nandhini. Karikalan nodded.

Urvashi's chamber,

Nandini went to Urvashi's chamber tensed. Urvashi was singing some songs while standing on the balcony.

" Urvashi! Urvashi! Where are you?" Called Nandhini, Urvashi immediately ran to Nandhini. " What happen Akka?" Enquired Urvashi.
