Karikalan looked into Nandhini's eyes with pure love," I love you Nandhini",Karikalan confessed.

The Krishna temple near the palace was crowded, as it was Janmashtami day. The day on which the lord Krishna was born. Kundavai was very much interested in pilgrims.
She used to visit the pilgrims and donate to them from when she was little. Today was a special day too, as it was Vallavan's birthday.
Vallavan was overjoyed and his pampering would be doubled today, it was his birthday. He was adorned with more jewellery than usual.
Karikalan and Nandhini woke up early today to gift the child.
Kundavai took him to Sundar Cholar's chamber first to get his blessings. " Happy birthday my son. " Wished Sundara Cholar as he hugged the child.
"Thank you thatha " the child thanked his grandfather. Sundara Cholar gifted him a platter full of gold ornaments, and silk clothes.
The child hesitated to get them, but Sundar Cholar insisted him to take it.
Karikalan and Nandhini entered the chamber, the child's face gleamed with happiness as he saw his Uncle.
" Happy birthday my little Vaanar Kula Veera." Wished karikalan. The child hugged his leg, and Karikalan lifted the child and gave him a gift wrapped in a cloth.
It was the same dagger which was found upon Kalanthakan after his death. Nandhini's eyes burned like fire as she saw that.
" This is a small gift for my Veera, I used this to conquer many wars, now I pass this to you as a blessing ." Told Karikalan.
Karikalan passed Vallavan to Nandhini, Kundavai became alert as she watched every action keenly. " Happy birthday, Vallava" wished Nandini as she kissed his forehead. The child blushed.
" Here is a gift for you." Said Nandhini as she gave him a mud toy bird. Kundavai laughed at the sight. Nandhini ignored her laughter.

" Vallavan, this is not an ordinary toy, you will see the magic when you pour water into it from the top until it fills three- fourth." Told Nandhini smiling at him.
The child immediately kissed Nandhini on her cheek. Nandhini let him down, he hurried and walked towards the table which had gold a Jug and a tumbler.
He lifted the jug with all his strength and poured some water into the toy.
" Slowly," told Karikalan as he helped him pour the water.
The child then blowed air on top of the toy and the sound which came out of it made his eyes widen. " Thank you Athai," told The child.
"You are welcome my prince", told Nandhini as she kissed his forehead.
Karikalan who was standing beside them was very jealous" I have begged for this from Nandhini but never got it, he gets it even if he didn't ask for it." Thought karikalan.
