" I think this is the house," said David.

Christine and David have already reached Anna's house. She knocked at the door and a lady in a red dress opened the door. It was assumed that it was Anna's mother.

" Oh! Christine, come in Anna has been desperately trying to get in touch with you," said she.

Christine smiled a bit when she saw a glimpse of Anna from the dining table. Her mother, Amanda opened the door wider to let both of them in and gestured to enter the dining room.

" Okay tell me what do you want to eat? You must be starving " asked Amanda.

"Not at all ...we are completely fine. Actually, it's a bit of a crucial situation so we need to hurry. Can I talk to Anna?" Asked Christine.

" Yes of course Anna darling look who's here," said Amanda

Christine's pov:

Anna finally broke her stare from the television in front of her and looked at me. She came running towards me and gave me the tightest hug. She kept on clinging to me like she saw her long-lost sister after so many years. I hugged her back with a delightful heart.

" Amanda may I?"

"Of course," said Amanda

" Alone I meant "

" Oh that's fine Anna show Christine your bedroom," said Amanda.

She grabbed my hand and went running up the stairs. David was also following me.

" Anna go inside your room. I'm coming. Just a second "

Anna nodded in approval and went inside her bedroom.

" David you go talk to Anna's parents in case something else we need to know. It would just make our work easier "

"I thought of-"

I gave David a glare of not arguing with her about anything at the moment.

" Okay okay alright. You are scary sometimes " said David and went down the stairs.

I closed the door shut and sat in her bed. I didn't want to ask her immediately so we chatted about her school life, some new friends she made recently, her hobbies, etc.

" Anna, can I ask you something?"

"Hmm"

" The other day your mum told me that you got lost while playing in Central Park with your friends "

"Hmm it was terrifying "

"What was terrifying? "

"The place"

"what place?"

"The place where I ended up "

"If it's not a problem can you share it with me? I'll provide you with adequate safety next time onwards"

She took a moment and released a sigh. It looked like she prepared herself mentally to talk about the matter.

"It was about to rain that night. My friend and I both were playing with a ball. Suddenly she threw it so hard that it fell on the other side of the street. I ran in order to get it. Suddenly it started raining. My mum always tells me getting wet in the rain would give you cold so I decided to take shelter. It's a place located in the garage of the building opposite central park. There were a lot of noises coming and I went down to see the source when my leg slipped and I fell down I guess I passed out because of the height from which I fell ( she showed Christine her cut) *Christine caressed her bruise to say it's okay* When I opened my eyes it looked like a .......a...basement. A very old and an abandoned one I must say. It smelt very nasty. It was so dark that it was difficult to see "
