The four of them came back to their workplace each with a different mindset...because each has a different perspective that they have to make and find a solution...
" Guys you need to see this," said David.
Everyone gathered in their office. It's late in the afternoon and they all have forgotten to eat. They all gathered around David to see what's that he wanted to show.
"Okay, so the first place where Red and Umber visited, the being was a woman of around 75 years old. So whoever is creating them or turning them that are making them unusually strong than normal humans and not only that her baby finger is missing, if you look here (showing them a second footage) the creature is an 18 yr old boy whom Lime and Black visited, his ear is missing" said David.
" I know how this works now, he's making his creation," said Emma.
Everyone looked at each other with worry on their face. At that moment Amyra's tummy growled out of hunger.
" We should eat and then can sit down to work again. Empty stomachs will lead to unclear decisions," said Alex planting a glace at Amyra who was looking down.
Amyra's pov:

Alex just saved me from utter embarrassment from everyone.
" You're right," said Christian. And others just nodded in agreement.
" We should order something we can't dine out now," said Christine.
" Mhm," said Amyra.
When everyone was ordering their food... meanwhile David just excused himself from them because he wanted to dine out and also wants to meet a friend.
" You know the food tastes so bland...." said Christine
" Cause you have so much in your head but I'm loving it," said Amyra, keeping her focus on her food.
They finished with their lunch. They all sat down to work on the case again, the autopsy results came in and also a telephone saying there were a few places been attacked informed David, he was on the call with them. He reached the workstation within 15 minutes with a few details and some papers of evidence and witnesses on his laptop. He's very good with his work and also is always on his tip-toe whenever his team needs him.
The CCTV footage showed a drive-through under attack some cars damaged and here come the autopsy results...
" You see, it says in the first place where Red and Umber visited the body that was stabbed at the heart," said Emma pointing at a specific spot on the papers. " The knife looks like the same weapon used to cut off different parts of the human body.
" Yeah, we know that the creatures have their one finger missing in fact not only fingers but sometimes ears too.
" Mhm," said Amyra
" In the second one you see ..." said David
" The eyes are ripped out of her body... " said Alex.
" The forensics said that all 4 fingers went in except the index finger," said David looking at Christian who was staring at the pictures sent by the local detective of the bodies.
" Well, now here is the thing. He's marking his creation by cutting their fingers... the older ones have their baby finger cut off and the younger ones have their index finger cut off..." said Christian.
" He's playing neat," said Amyra.
They all were talking Amyra stepped out to get some coffee for herself when the Chief came... and told her to watch the news and the broadcast.
" It's getting out of hand..." said the chief "The other depts' people are also shocked by this scenario...."
" I know..."

*Inside the workstation*

" There are 5 other cases in CENTRAL PARK, THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE, THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, TIMES SQUARE, AND ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL" said Aaron local detective.
" Jesus Christ" Said Christine. " how many have died?"
" 14 including 3 children"
" Okay, listen to me carefully I need you to send all their autopsy results and send the footage," said Christine.
* Amyra enters*
" Did you hear?" asked Amyra passing a cup of coffee to each. " it's all over the news"
" A call just came and we are aware of it" Said, Alex.
" We need to know how, what is causing this... " said Emma while looking at Christian who is staring at the cup without taking a sip.
They all were working on the case busy at the desks. The cases are increasing with each day and their pressure is increasing. Citizens are going missing... bloodshed and everyone is panicking all around. The government has called for a lockdown and no one is allowed to get out of the house and only under police protection. They are working on a plan on how to catch a creature and know how it's caused, for that they first need to be present in one of the places where they would attack next. People are going missing from home...
" We know that they are targeting young people more than older ones to turn them," said Christian.
" And the young people have their baby finger cut off, the older ones have their index finger cut off," added Alex.
They all were discussing with each other how to know what's the next place they are going to attack. It's been a little late around 11.30 and they still didn't have their dinner. They all were sitting at their respective places when...
" Let's eat in the canteen together we can't go out now.. " said Emma. Everyone agreed.
They went down to have dinner. The entire street was quiet, pin-drop silence. People were going missing from their homes, parents were all over the television crying and wailing... many committed suicide. Death was the only thing shown on TV and watching those while eating lost all of their appetites. Each just wanted to solve the case cause it was just disturbing and horrifying. After dinner, Christine was feeling a bit under the weather...
" I think you should go home, you've worked a lot I'll stay with the team," said Amyra.
" Cool, don't forget to take your meds and call me if something comes up," said Christine
" Yeah yeah, you too drive safe.."

" Go home you, I'm here with Amyra and text me with anything," said Alex
"Alright, I'll get some sleep if I can, don't sleep in the office," said Christian.
They bid them goodnight... Emma is in the computer room with David. In the room, Amyra left with Alex.
