"Okay..." I thought about what I was hearing, before letting out a long and disappointed sigh, "You actively, without hesitation," I pinched the bridge of my nose as I raised my voice slightly, "without being influenced by drugs, alcohol or anything else... put water, in your cereal!?"

Amber sniffled as she mumbled a yes while Evelin had a hard time not to laugh.
You see, this requires some explaining.
While Amber was waking up she had been doing four things at the same time, calling her uncle's ex-wife, studying the periodic table just to make sure, making cereal and getting some water for her dog. Of course, she switched up the cereal bowl with the bowl for her dog.

"God, why am I even acquainted with you guys?" I said in the most tired voice I could muster, having a hard time holding back my laughter myself.

"Me as wel?" Evelin frowned, "What did I do?"

"You once put energy drink in your cereal once." Amber reminded in a monotonous voice.

"Ooooh," Evelin grinned, "It honestly was necessary—"

"No." I cut her off while holding up one finger as if shushing, "Not that explanation again, it's just saddening..."

Amber laughed while Evelin just rolled her eyes.
We were having a good time, until the bell rung. I had Spanish and the other two had history, so we parted ways.

"Before you go," Amber held me back, "Could you help me out with studying after school? I just can't—"

"I will," I cut her off, "But at this point we'll be late so I'll text you if necessary, bye." I'm not getting late for Spanish again, not again, thank you.

In class I somehow got chosen to be the one to recite half of the text the teacher had us read.
"Okay, stop- stop." The teacher, a small woman with almost grey hair and stern look on her face, stopped me from my reading. Most of the class seemed to give me sorry looks as I dreaded the worst, "You're pronunciation is alright, I'll give you that," She held up a finger just like I did in brake, "I just bet you don't know what any of this means. Translate sentence six."

Looking at it, I noticed it was an easy one. "The woman talked to her children about the angry man." I translated.

"Alright..." the teacher gave me a look like I was an imposter... "How about sentence 9?"

Alright... was she trying to find a reason to hand over detention or something?
"I heard the man lived in the forest outside of town, said the first child." I decided on just going with it as long as I could.

The teacher sighed in frustration, "Alright, sit down, Anna, you read the rest."

The girl named Anna froze up, she looked to be on the verge of tears immediately. Looking at her I wondered if I should help her out. She sat right behind me, maybe I could whisper the words she needed to know? Would that help?

The guy next to her got up instead as I sat down. Unable to just look forward like a normal person, I glanced behind me to see the guy look at the teacher with one of those tired, dead inside looks.
"If I may ask..." The guy waited for permission to continue, probably to get his point across.

The teacher crossed her arms and said a harsh voice, "You may not, I asked Anna to start reading, didn't I?"

The guy rolled his eyes, "That's my point, you want your students to start crying simply because they don't know how to do the exact accent you are asking for, might I add," He glared, "You then look for a specific reason to give a studen detention, that's plain stupid."

"Darinson, you'd beter sit, down," She sounded like scissors or something when she said that, "Or you will serve detention."

"I'd rather be in detention than have you keep bullying random children." The Darinson dude rolled his eyes. Before he could say anything else, the teacher yelled at him that he should leave the classroom. He did and a painful silence filled the classroom once more.

Sighing I looked back forwards as Anna got up. She shook all over as she recited the text. Whenever she paused I managed to whisper a bit and so she survived without much comments from the teacher.

When class ended Anna walked up to me. Her bag hung over one shoulder as she looked down on her shoes.
The hallway was full of kids, so she had to try her hardest not to bump into anyone.
"I-I'm sorry if I bothered you with all that, but thanks for the... the help, I thought I was going to die." She said as she pushed away some hair from her face.

"No problem," I adjusted the straps of my backpack, "The pig of a teacher wasn't exactly nice, so I couldn't just do nothing, I guess."

Anna nodded, "I think I'll complain about it to the principal, but to thank you I actually had something I wanted to— ehr—to give you."
I looked back at her in curiosity, what could she possibly have to give?
From her pocket Anna grabbed a bit of candy. "Here, I wanted to save it for after school but..."

"Thanks, I'll take one." I grabbed one of them, a cherry flavoured one, leaving the rest for her.
Anna smiled and put the rest back. She seemed like a nice person.
"Do you want to sit with me and my friends at lunch tomorrow?" I asked, "If you don't want to, that's fine as well." I wasn't about pressure her.

"Sure." Anna said, before pointing to the opposite way we were going, "I gotta go that way, so..."
"Bye."

Walking on I almost smiled to myself, but then someone tripped me.
"Hey art nerd!" One of the famous school bullies laughed with his surrounding friends.

I sighed and got up from the ground, brushing myself off, "Was that really necessary?" I asked tiredly as if social anxiety didn't exist. To be fair, I didn't actually have anxiety, I just really hated people sometimes.

The bully, I don't even know his name, crossed his arms with an ugly grin.
"I don't know, have you asked your girlfriend?" He asked in a mocking tone.

Shit, that hurt. Taking a breath, I tried to stay calm; Now was not the time for crying. Instead I clenched my teeth and turned to the kid.
"Well have you asked yours?" I spat the words out, "Or did she hook up with another guy? Again?"

Suddenly my back hit the lockers behind me, creating a loud bang which made all the other students around look at us.
"Don't say, anything, about Bella!" The guy called out, his hands gripping my shoulders in a hard grip.

"The fuck?" I called out in bewilderment, why'd he do that? I tried to struggle out of the tight grip, but the guy just glared, not letting go.

"If you ever even think about saying such shit agai—" The bully got cut off by someone grabbing his shoulder.
He turned, still gritting his teeth in anger, to see the guy that stood up for Anna in Spanish class.
Instead of anger, a look of fear crossed his face as he seemed to recognise the kid as wel.
I couldn't help but be scared myself as an empty smile crossed the other guy's face.

"How about you go bully someone else?" The guy asked in a strange voice that was way less empty and tired than before, "Or would you like to have a talk later, again?" He asked the bully.

The bully glared at me before he let me go and hurried away.

The kid from Spanish opened his mouth to say something, but without a word closed it. He shrugged and walked away, leaving me alone and shaking with loads of eyes still lingering on me.
I took a breath and left the scene, hoping to find Evelin and Amber already.

I hung out with Amber that afternoon, helping her study. It was fun, but I couldn't wait to see Blue again. I don't know how to explain it, but Somehow I had more fun while hanging out with him, or something. Last time we were doing maths... how did I like doing mathematics? How?

That evening I went up to the rooftop of my apartment building.
Sitting cross legged on the pavement I read trough an easy Spanish text to practice.
The night wore on, before it got to late I headed inside, concluding Blue wouldn't show up that night. I felt disappointed, but understood. Still I couldn't help but fell disappointment at not seeing him again.
