Part 5; Dinner dun gone wrong

Max
------

By 7 o'clock the guests had arrived. Mr. White was the first to pull up in his white Ford ranger. He smiled at Donny and I as he walked by.

"Do you think he has a white fetish?" Donny leaned over to whisper.

"Dunno".

"Who was that?" Cemre asked. He was setting out plates on the picnic table we had spent fifteen minutes dragging from the back shed to the outside deck.

"Uncle Gavin's old work pal". Donny explained through a burst of breath.

"He looks like a serial killer". Cemre voiced with a look in the man's direction.

Mr. White was wearing a fancy ass tux with his peppered hair combed off to the side. He was also babying a glass of white wine in his arms.

"You think so?" Donny asked, cupping his chin as he observed Mr. White.

"Don't give him ideas Cemre". I snapped.

At this point, I was done with Donny's bullshit.

A few minutes later Felisha rolled up in a yellow hatchback Subaru. Onnie was smiling ear to ear as she came over to greet us (mostly Cemre). Simon, on the other hand, was dragging his feet. Just like me he looked as if he wanted to be anywhere, but here.

"Hello boys". Felisha said with a friendly smile. She ruffled Donny's hair as she passed us on the deck. "This looks lovely". She complemented before slipping inside to join Uncle Gavin, and Mr. White.

"You guys look nice". Onnie voiced as she glanced from Cemre, Donny, and I. Her smile widening.

"Thanks". We said in sync.

"You look great...to". Added Cemre.

Onnie was wearing a simple sun dress with her blonde hair pulled into a fish braid. Her cheeks also seemed to be glowing a bright pink. Either from makeup or blushing. I wasn't sure.

"Thanks".

A ackward silence fell between us until Simon cleared his throat. We all glanced over at him. "Anyone know how long this thing will last?"

"I'm guessing, a few hours". Answered Donny. He went over to where Simon was leaning against the deck rails, and sat down.

"Feeling better?" Simon asked me. His tone was somewhat harsh, but at least his glare was softer.

I frowned at this. "Feeling better?"

"Yeah", He shrugged, "You were pretty out of it last night".

I glanced at Cemre.

"He helped get you back". Cemre explained quickly before turning his attention to Onnie.

"You-" I pointed at Simon, "Did what?"

Before he could answer the front door opened and Uncle Gavin came out with the food. "Time to eat guys".

"Would you rather sleep in til noon or stay up with the moon?" Donny asked Onnie while Uncle Gavin dished out everyone's food.

"Sleep in til noon".

"What about blue skies forever or magical lightning storms?"

"Blue skies".

"I have come to a decision". Donny proclaimed. He thumped his fist on the table. "You-Onnie- are boring".
