Daddy, I Miss You... // Luke Hemmings (Sequel to 'Where's Daddy?') Book 2

CHAPTER TWO

Kiara's POV

I almost said something that I shouldn't have said earlier. We had just walked in the house and by 'we' I mean Luke and I. Charlotte wanted to spend the rest of the day with uncle Calum so she went home to his house and he is going to bring her back later when all the boys come for dinner.

"Luke, I'm going to have a bath" I called out as I walked up the stairs. I didn't get a response back but I just shrugged it off.

I walked into the bathroom and turned the knobs and the water started running out of the fossil. I stripped down until I was nude and climbed into the bath tub. Once the water was at my preferred level, I shut the water off and laid back, closing my eyes and listening to the relaxing sound of the water moving around in the tub.

After what felt like forever, I decided it was time to get out of the bath and start preparing dinner. I know exactly what we're having tonight and I can't wait to see the look on the boys faces once they see what we're eating.

I wrapped a towel around my body and walked into my room. I rummaged through my wardrobe to find some clothes. Since I was staying home tonight and it was just the boys that were coming over, I decided on a pair of light grey tracksuit pants that had elastic at the bottom, my black fluffy socks and a black crop top that said "Sorry I'm not listening" printed in white in the front. I blow dried my hair and pulled it up into a messy bun. Once I was comfy enough, I let the water out of the bath and went back downstairs.

I skipped into the kitchen with a spring in my step and started getting out all the ingredients. That's when Luke walked in.

"Hey umm, you know at Ashton's how you said 'our children', are you planning on having more kids with me?" he asked. I pulled my lips into a straight line and shrugged my shoulders.

"It's a possibility" I shrug. Luke nods and pulls a smile but I can tell it's fake. Something tells me that he doesn't want another kid. Oh well.

All of a sudden my phone rang but it had no caller ID. I decided to just answer it and see who it is.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Kiara, it's me, Calum" the voice on the other end replied.

"Oh hey Calum, what's up?" I asked.

"Umm are you with Luke?" he questioned.

"Yeah I am, why?" I replied.

"Can you put him on the phone?" he asked. Without replying, I handed the phone to Luke.

"It's Calum" I mumbled and he nodded.

They spoke for a few minutes before Luke hung up and pasted my phone back to me.

"What did he want?" I asked.

"Management is having a meeting in half an hour and Calum tried to ring me but my phone must have died" he explained. I nodded and went back to watching TV.

Luke just left for the management meeting and I think now was a good time to get everything ready for when he gets home.

"Charlotte! We need to go to the shops, hurry up! I called from downstairs. After a few short seconds, Charlotte came running down stairs.

We left the house and drove to the shopping centre in the middle of town. Once I parked the car, we walked into the supermarket and I went to the health and body isle. I looked for what I needed and grabbed a few. I walked to the baby isle and grabbed a few more things. I paid for my items, earning a few weird looks from the cashier before Charlotte and I made our way home.

Once we were home, I ran upstairs and did what had to be done before waiting 10 minutes. I then grabbed everything and put them into a little decorative bag and left them on the table. Now all that I could do was wait.

Luke's POV

"Well boys, can't wait to see you on the road" One Direction's manager said before leaving the meeting room. The management meeting had just finished and the band and I were just about to leave.

"See you tomorrow guys" I waved before walking to my car.

I started the car and drove home. I pulled into the drive way and got out of the car. I walked up to the front door and knocked, expecting Kiara to be home. I heard little footsteps run up to the door and Charlotte opened it, engulfing me in a big hug.

"Daddy, there's something on the table for you" Charlotte stated. I smiled and walked over to the kitchen table.

There I found a nice little pink bag that obviously contained something. Kiara was nowhere to be found so I'm guessing that this was a set up. I picked up the bag and tipped it upside down, letting its content fall out.

My eyes widened at what I saw, hoping this was all a dream. There, right in front of me were 5 pregnancy tests all showing positive. I dropped the bag in shock and walked upstairs to my room.

I can't believe this.

I walked into my room and found Kiara sitting on our bed looking out at the view from our bedroom window. I crawled onto the bed and wrapped my arms around her waist. She didn't look at me. Maybe she was worried that I wouldn't want this baby with her? So, I decided to get her attention and show her that I do in fact want this baby.

I unravelled my arms from her waist and placed one hand on her stomach, rubbing her small baby bump. That caught her attention.

"I want this baby so much, even though it may not seem like it" I whispered. A small smile appeared on her face and I could tell that she was happy with what I had just said.
