"ᴛʀᴜᴇ ʟᴏᴠᴇ's ᴋɪss"𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗥𝗔 𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 down in front of Sophie and the Nevers she hung around with. She already knew a lot about King Arthur's story, some parts no one even knew, so telling Sophie more about it would be easy. All of the Nevers looked at her with disgust.
Even Sophie.
"We need to talk," Aneira says.
"About?" Sophie questioned. Aneira turned to look at Tedros with Beatrix. He seemed happy, but Aneira could tell it was a facade. He didn't truly like Beatrix.
"I have it under control," Sophie replied. Aneira crossed her arms. Aneira crosses her arms and raises a brow. "I don't think you do," Aneira says.
It was true, Aneira saw Sophie making no effort. She herself would've had a better chance with Tedros than her, but the School Master told both girls it had to be Sophie.
"So I'm supposed to take romantic advice from a girl who used to make phlegm sculptures?" The Nevers around her started laughing. Aneira was pissed, slowly feeling her hand frost over with ice.
Sophie dismissed the Nevers, but had to shoo away the boy in frog pajamas a second time. He must be in love with Sophie since Aneira always saw him with her.
"Why are you acting like this?" Aneira asks.
"Because I'm tired of being pathetic little Sophie," Sophie replied.
"The girl who defended me with a frying pan wasn't pathetic."
"Well I like the new me," Sophie sighed, quickly changing the subject. She glanced over at the book. "What's with the book?" She asks.
"Tedros's father chose his bride, Guinevere, for her beauty, but then she betrayed him with Lancelot," Aneira explained. Her mother and father told her tales of how they, and their entire family, met and lived with them for a bit.
Her mother knew Arthur longer than the rest of her family. "King Arthur lost his throne and died of a broken heart," Aneira continued.
But that story wasn't entirely true, or at least, how she was told it happened.
"And this is supposed to be, what? Date conversation?" Sophie asked.
"Don't you get it? After what happened to his father," Aneira replied, pulling out a seat to sit in front of her. She flips through the pages of the book, "Tedros isn't going to fall for someone just because she's hot. You need to prove to him that you're Good, in front of everybody, in a way no one can deny."
