~About an hour later~

"Hello."

I whirled around, my sword already in my hand and ready to decapitate whoever had managed to sneak up on me. What I saw surprised me. A man stood in front of me, but he was unlike any man I had seen before, radiating more power than that of the gods. He looked normal enough, except for the deep blue eyes with stars twinkling in his pupils and a slightly shattered look to them. He had black, messy hair, exactly like mine. He was wearing a dark blue tunic and brown trousers. Most people would kneel when in the presence of a being as powerful as this one, but I'm not like most people. Sure, I respect the gods, but I wasn't going to bow to them... and I only respect some of them anyway.

So, instead of bowing, I just raised an eyebrow at the man, sheathing my sword but still ready to fight. "Like the form, not as flashy as the gods would do it, but you're not a god, are you? You're too powerful."

The man nodded. "I'm not a god, you are correct."

"So, who are you?" I asked, starting to walk back to the tavern, forcing the man to walk with me if he wanted to talk to me.

"Someone with an offer."

I sighed, tired of saying this. "I don't care how powerful you are. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I am not betraying the gods."

He laughed, and his laughter was unlike any I had ever heard before, yet somehow familiar. It was a young boy laughing with his friend, a mother laughing with her daughter, a girl laughing with her boyfriend. It was as though every joyful laughter in the world was somehow in that one laugh. "That's not my offer."

I shrugged as we came to a stop outside the tavern. "Well then, I am listening. What is your offer?"

The man smiled at me. "How about we go up to your room so your friends can hear this too?"

I frowned, not liking that he knew so much, but led the way up. When I opened the door, Nico and Will looked up and jumped to their feet when they saw the man behind me. They had adopted certain habits from me, and just stood there and studied the man instead of bowing. "Who are you?" Will asked.

"My name is Chaos."

Immediately, both my companions bowed. I stayed standing. I knew who Chaos was, but I didn't care at the moment. "What do you want?" I asked.

"I want you to lead my army."

"Why?" I asked.

"You're the best of the best. My army travels the universe to help those in need. If you accept, you'll make a special team that will be called Team Omega."

"What about Nico and Will?" I asked, because there was no way in Tartarus I was going without them.

"They're also invited."

I turned to them. "What do you think? Should we do this?"

"Why not? Sounds fun." Nico responded. Will nodded in agreement.

Chaos grinned. "Great!" He clapped his hands together and a portal opened next to him. "Right this way."

I helped Nico and Will pack our stuff and we followed Chaos through the portal. The portal took us to a large room with six doors on one side, six on the other, and three in the middle. The room we were in had a large wooden table with fifteen chairs around it. There was a lounge area, which had much more comfortable looking chairs and couches. There was another door on the opposite wall from the one with three doors, and I assumed it led into a hallway.

"Where are we?" I asked.

Chaos smiled. "This is where you will stay. That room is yours." He answered, pointing to the center door on the wall that had three doors. "This is the common room, and it will change to suit your needs and wants. Nico and Will are welcome to choose any room they would like, besides yours, because they are your first team members."
