I woke up at 3:00 the next morning. I frowned at the lack of proper sleep, but shrugged it off. I felt well rested and I had more time to prepare. I walked into the common room to find... no one. Everyone was still asleep.

Shrugging, I began to flip through the spell books I had bought and those I found in my library. I hummed appreciatively. They were of good quality, even if slightly battered. I left the room at 5:00 to find a servant who might be willing to prepare some food. Luckily, I found a young woman named Flora that happily agreed to help me. She began to make all sorts of treats. She also added some healthy options, such as fruit, eggs, and such. She made some options for lunch and supper as well. She honestly went a bit overboard, but she was ecstatic to know that there would be a little girl in the palace from now on. When she had finished, she helped me carry the trays of food to the room.

It took a couple trips, but soon there was a feast laid out with a preservation spell cast to keep it fresh. Just in time too, because a messenger came running into the room. "Lord Loki, a young man with a small girl is asking to see you," he panted.

I smiled. It was only 6:00, but he had said they would come early. "I am coming," I said.

I walked with the messenger, whose name I learned was Adam. When we arrived at the front gate, I dismissed Adam and turned to the two children. "Welcome!" I greeted cheerfully. "I have food inside, and we can eat before we continue with anything else."

Kola nodded, smiling brightly. They followed me through the halls, looking at everything.

"I can't believe we are actually in the royal palace," Nolan whispered to himself.

Kola seemed more interested in the people we passed than the scenery. She waved at everyone with a bright smile until we reached our destination. We entered and they gasped at the sight of the feast that lay before them.

I smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, Flora was very excited that Kola would be coming. She said, 'Finally! A little girl! I have been waiting for centuries for a little girl to spoil!'" I explained.

We began eating, and I made sure they ate enough before I waved my hand and slipped the table into my own pocket dimension. I would bring it back out for lunch and supper.

Kola clapped excitedly at the display of magic and squealed. "Will I be able to do that?"

I nodded. "You will be able to that, and much more, Kola. Not right away, but you will." I glanced at Nolan before turning back to the young girl. "Why don't you look around for a bit while I speak with your brother? You might find something special," I said with a wink. I had hidden her suit in a special case in one of the far rooms. Anything dangerous was out of reach, so I didn't worry for her safety.

Once she was gone, I turned back to Nolan, who said, "So... what do you want to talk to me about?"

"Your job," I said, gesturing for him to sit on a floor mat across from me.

"I'll do anything to let Kola learn under you."

I laughed and waved my hand, sending a message to Perseus, who I knew would be up by then. "I am excited to have an apprentice. This is more for you," I said.

"What is it? A cook? A messenger?" he asked.

I shook my head. "No, nothing like that. We thought you might be better suited for another job."

"We?"

"We," a voice from behind me confirmed.

I turned to see Perseus. He must have just teleported in. "Hello, Perseus," I greeted.
