Part II

It's been two weeks now since I ran into Justin at his game.
Two weeks since we spoke face to face.
Today, well tonight, I'm going out with him, I guess it's a date I'm not really sure, can you tell I'm nervous?

"Hey Y/n, why can't I go to eat with you tonight?" Alex asked as he sat on the sink and watched me do my makeup.
"Well, I think it's a date." I sighed not sure what it was, I was stressing fro no reason.
"So you guys love each other?"
"I- what? No Alex." I laughed as I combed through my hair.
"We're just two old friends catching up." I think I was trying to convince myself I wasn't in love with him.
"You love him." Alex stated matter of factly as he hopped off the sink and made his way over to his toys.
"Okay you little shit." I rolled my eyes at him.
"You're not allowed to say shit." I looked over at Alex and face palmed.
"Alex stop saying that! Or your dad will seriously never let us hang out again."
"Well I can't be your only friend forever Y/n/n, I'm six, you're twenty three, I have more friends than you that's kinda embarrassing." Well I didn't think a six year old was so judgmental.
"Okay you little shit get your ass in the car I have to take you home." I grabbed my purse and began to follow Alex out the door.
"That was two potty words in one sentence Aunt Y/n/n."
"ALEX!"

"Have fun on your daaaaaate." Alex giggled dragging out the A.
"Get out of my car." I scoffed pushing him off of me.
"I love you." He smiled widely.
"Yeah I love you too." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Now get out. And don't you dare tell your dad I said shit."
Alex gave me a look and brought his hand to his forehead. "Another potty word"
"Get out of my car!"

"Y/n!" I heard Justin's voice.
"Hi." I smiled as he pulled me into a hug, I could melt in his arms.
"How are you?" Justin placed his hand on the small of my back and led us into the restaurant.
"I'm good, I'm really good." For the first time in forever I could say that and actually mean it.
"Good to hear, I've missed you." I was shocked to hear him say that, I've missed him too, but that was unexpected.
"I've missed you too." A small silence surrounded us, just a moment of us staring at each other, I thought back to our college days.

Freshmen year

"Mind if I sit here?" I was sat in the library studying for an exam.
"Oh, I don't mind." I smiled politely up at the boy.
"Justin." He smiled holding out his hand.
"Y/n." I shook Justin's hand with a smile and he took the spot across from me.

The two of us sat there for hours, helping each other study, sharing my snacks, cracking jokes.
We were there til the library closed.
On our way back to our dorms we exchanged numbers and from that moment forward we were inseparable.

Present time

"Uhh how's Alex?" Justin asked breaking the silence.
"He's good, in fact he was trying to come with me." I laughed.
"Is he still saying shit?" Justin chuckled.
"Yes, his dad is gonna kill me for it." I shook my head.
"I think it's pretty funny." Justin laughed.
"Guess so, when I'm not being lectured for it."
"He'll break the habit sooner than later."
"Oh I hope so, my brothers about three seconds away from banning me from hanging out with Alex."

Justin and I talked and ate, it was a great time, we caught up on what we've missed, reminisced on our college days.

"I had a really good time tonight, thank you for coming." Justin smiled as he walked me to my car.
"I wouldn't have missed it."
"Can I see you again?" I looked up at him, his eyes were filled with hope.
"Yes." I breathed softly as I unlocked my car.
"I'll text you." He smiled.
I nodded my head and watched him walk away.
"Wait Justin!" Justin stopped and began to turn around I quickly made my way up to him and planted a long kiss to his lips.
"Text me." I smiled as I slipped back to my car.
