Rewritten Version

──────────Several months later──────────

A lot has changed since the last encounter with the lady of the castle. Nothing but silence fell over you since the incident, you didn't talk with her or even bother to glimpse at her whenever you saw her wander in the castle. You've done your best to avoid her and ignore her at every opportunity. Hatred toward her never altered since she was even a little close to you, and her presence made you feel rather uneasy, and feeding them dinner wasn't the same as it once was. Glancing in the mirror caused a slight frown to cross your brows as you observed the four little scars carved on the side of your neck where her nails had pierced through your skin. Although you did not exchange words with the mistress, you continued to maintain her in your mind. It wasn't something you intended or even wanted, but why did the thought of her cause a grin to grow on the ends of your lips before immediately fading as you remembered what had happened between you both.

After all of this, you have kept your distance from the girls also. You frequently visited the castle's library during the day to talk with Daniela about books, movies, and other topics, just like Bela, who would come to you often to talk about her piano practice and other matters. They surely kept you encouraging to talk with the lady, but you always brushed it off, as there wasn't much to talk about. It was simple: you hated her, thus there was no reason to forgive her, right?

Of course, being quiet did not imply, you were still serving under them, so you did had the opportunity to exchange words with her, and while they were not as passionate as they formerly were, but they were enough to make her crimson lips smile. Your face was glued stoic and unbothered, letting her know you wouldn't forget what she did to you without saying a word, as your expression was enough for her to notice. After a while, you moved on, there wasn't much you could do nor she could, and you began to finally accept that fact as the months passed by. Before you knew it, the trees were blooming bright green, and the clouds had cleared the blue skies, as the time past. Though you had pure hatred toward her, she surely didn't miss the chance to cause your stomach to cast thousands of butterflies to fly inside of you whenever her red lips smiled softly at you.

"Which one did you request again, my lady?" You questioned me as you looked through the new bath oils on the gold cupboard in the luxurious bathroom.

She sighed softly and cocked her head to the side, gesturing with her pale hand toward the glass bottles. "The new ones, darling."

You returned your gaze to the cupboard, uncertain which one she was referring to because she had surely a few of them. "My lady, you own fifteen of them," you said before sniffing the yellow-labeled bottle, the scent emerging with sweet fruit aromas.

"Choose then, my dear," she murmured calmly from the pool.

You nodded timidly, taking various oils in your hands while reading the exquisite labels written on the small glass bottles. "This one smells really nice, my lady," you mentioned, slightly astonished, looking at the dark green label. "It's apparently forest-scented, I'm curious how they make such things," you said, walking over to the left side of the pool, kneeling down to the white marble tiles while tilting the bath oil under her nose.

Her face instantly turned disgusted as she smelled the scent of the forest, her brows frowning deeply as she moved her head from the glass. "I assume you don't like this one, my lady?" you said through your soft chuckle as she gestured for you to move it away from her.
