Ryuk was having the time of his life. The room that Light had provided for him was a paradise. He was surrounded by mountains of apples, and the books kept him entertained during his free time. The luxury was a far cry from the barren wasteland of the Shinigami realm, and he reveled in it.

But even amidst all these indulgences, he was still a Shinigami with a mission. When Light stepped into his room, Ryuk knew the moment of action had arrived.

"Ryuk, it's time," Light said, his voice echoing in the spacious room. "I need you to find L."

Ryuk, sitting on his apple throne, looked down at Light. His glowing red eyes stared at the human, a wide grin spread across his face. "And why should I do that, Light?" he asked, his voice filled with amusement.

"Because if you do, I'll keep this room filled with apples for as long as you want," Light replied, his voice calm but firm. Ryuk's eyes widened at the proposition, and he let out a low chuckle.

"You drive a hard bargain, Light," Ryuk said, his voice filled with amusement. "Very well, I'll find L for you."

With a nod from Light, Ryuk vanished from the room, leaving behind only the faintest trace of his presence. As Ryuk set off on his mission, Light couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. The game was moving into its next phase, and he was ready to make his move.

Elsewhere, unbeknownst to Light, L and Aria continued their preparations. The calm before the storm was nearing its end, and soon, they would have to face Kira head on. But for now, they could only wait and hope that they were ready when the time came.

Ryuk materialized in the shadows of the underground base, hidden from L and Aria. His eyes glowed in the dim light as he watched them talk, a grin stretched across his face. Their discussion was serious, filled with strategies and plans, but all he could do was laugh at the irony of it all.

Ryuk had seen it all before - the scheming, the plotting, the desperation. It was the same game, just different players. He watched as L and Aria poured over maps, pointing out potential Kira Corps locations, their faces lit by the glow of the lantern. Despite their grim situation, there was a certain determination in their eyes that Ryuk found amusing.

Hours passed in the blink of an eye. Ryuk watched as L and Aria worked tirelessly, their faces growing weary but their spirits remaining unbroken. It was a testament to their resolve, a testament to their desperation. But Ryuk knew better than anyone how this game ended. He had seen it all before.

Finally, Ryuk decided he had seen enough. He vanished from the base, reappearing in Light's office. Light looked up from his desk as Ryuk entered, his eyes narrowed.

"Well?" Light asked, his voice filled with anticipation.

Ryuk grinned as he floated down to perch on the edge of Light's desk. "They're planning, alright," Ryuk said, his voice filled with amusement. "It's almost cute, how determined they are."

Light's eyes narrowed at Ryuk's words, his mind racing with possibilities. The game was escalating, and it was only a matter of time before the storm arrived. But for now, he had the upper hand. And he planned on keeping it that way.

In the vast, high-tech conference room of Kira Corps, Light sat at the head of the long, polished table. On his right was Misa, her eyes sparkling with loyalty and adoration. On his left, Teru Mikami, his gaze intense and unwavering. Across from him, Mello, his features etched with a newfound purpose.

"Let's start with the reports," Light began, his tone commanding. His eyes scanned over the room, the weight of his gaze making each person in the room straighten their backs. "Mikami, you first."

Teru nodded, his fingers running over the surface of a tablet in front of him. "The public support for Kira remains strong. There have been some minor protests, but they are swiftly handled. Our operatives are doing well in maintaining order."

Light nodded, his eyes thoughtful. "Good. Misa?"

Misa straightened, her hands clasped in her lap. "The Kira worship continues to grow, especially on the internet. We've gained a large following, Light. Many see you as a god."

"And they're right to do so," Light said, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "I am their god. I am the one who will rid this world of evil."

Mello, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. "And what about L? We know where he is now. What's the plan?"

Light's gaze shifted to Mello, his eyes narrowed. "L is a threat, but a manageable one. We will deal with him when the time is right. For now, our focus should remain on expanding our influence."

Mello nodded, falling silent once again. The meeting continued, with Light guiding the discussions, his words echoing in the room. He was Kira, the god of the new world. Fourteen years had passed since he'd first become Kira, but his resolve remained as strong as ever.

Light Yagami was thirty-one now, a man in the prime of his life. He had faced countless obstacles, but each one only made him stronger. As the meeting concluded, Light couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. His reign as Kira was only just beginning.
