At Kira Corps headquarters, Light called for an urgent meeting. Misa, Teru, Mello, and several other high-ranking members gathered around the table in the sleek, modern conference room.
"First, let's address the recent events," Light said, his voice cold and calculated. "Mello, your mission was a success. L's hideout has been destroyed, and we managed to send a clear message. However, we must remain vigilant. L and Aria are still out there, and they will undoubtedly come up with a new plan."
Mello smirked, savoring his victory but knowing that there was still work to be done. "Of course, Light. We won't let our guard down."
Misa chimed in, "And with Aria back in the picture, we should keep an eye on any potential allies they may recruit. She could be a valuable asset to L."
Teru nodded in agreement. "We should also focus on expanding our influence and eliminating any remaining threats. The world is changing, and Kira's reign must remain unchallenged."
Light leaned back in his chair, taking in the information and suggestions. "Very well," he said, his eyes narrowing. "Our next move will be to strengthen our network and gather more intelligence on L and Aria. We will hunt them down and crush any resistance."
As the meeting continued, the members of Kira Corps discussed various strategies and objectives. They were determined to solidify Kira's rule and ensure that Light's vision of a new world order would be realized.
Teru cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "Light, there's something I've been working on. I thought this would be the right time to share it."
Light raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Go on, Teru."
"With your vision in mind, I've been reaching out and negotiating with key figures in the military." Teru said, a glint of excitement in his eyes. "After lengthy discussions, promises of justice, and a world free of crime, I'm pleased to say that we now have their full support."
A stunned silence filled the room. This was a game-changer. The military's support meant more resources, more influence, and a much easier path to achieving their goals.
Light's face broke into a rare, genuine smile. "Well done, Teru. This is indeed good news. With the military behind us, Kira's power will become absolute. We'll be unstoppable."
Teru bowed, pleased with the praise. "Thank you, Light. I believe this is a significant step towards the new world we envision."
Light stood up, signaling the end of the meeting. "Let's continue to work towards our goal. Misa, Mello, Teru, I expect nothing but the best from each of you. And remember, we're not just creating a new world. We're becoming gods."
As the members of Kira Corps left the room, each with their own tasks and responsibilities, the weight of the news hung heavily in the air. The world was changing, and they were at the helm.
Back in his office, Light looked out at the city spread below him. 'Kira Corps,' he thought, 'The greatest force in the world.' A sense of satisfaction washed over him. His dream was becoming a reality. His rule was near absolute, and he was ready to usher in a new era.
A week later passes and Light and Misa arrived at his family's home, a place where he hadn't visited for a long time. His mother, Sachiko Yagami, and his sister, Sayu Yagami, greeted them with warm smiles, but there was a touch of melancholy in their eyes - a longing for a son and brother who was now so different, yet the same.
"Light, Misa, it's so good to see you," Sachiko said, embracing them. "We've missed you."
Light hugged his mother back, the scent of home flooding his senses. "I've missed you too, Mom."
Sayu, now a young woman herself, nodded at her brother. "It's been a while, Light."
"It has, Sayu," Light replied, giving her a small smile.
After a warm dinner filled with small talk and shared memories, Light decided it was time to share his news.
"Misa and I have been thinking," he began, the room falling silent. "We plan on getting married soon, and we also intend to start a family."
The room was silent for a moment before Sachiko broke into a broad smile. "Oh, Light! That's wonderful news!" She clapped her hands together in joy. Sayu, too, was grinning widely. It was a moment of pure, familial joy that was rare in Light's recent life.
In the comfort of his family home, with his mother's laughter filling the air and his sister's congratulatory words, Light felt a sense of peace. Amidst all the chaos and manipulation, this was his sanctuary. As the night wore on, Light found himself cherishing these moments more than he would ever admit. His role as Kira may dominate his life, but here, he was simply Light Yagami - son, brother, and soon-to-be husband and father.
