Stevie had been slightly zoned out and mentally preoccupied since her conversation with JJ at the Crain house; it was weirdly more of an argument. She was listening but not absorbing the plan as Sarah and Kie explained it to each other using a bad drawing from John B. Stevie was waiting for JJ, hoping to talk to him now before things get weird.

She didn't know what she was going to say. She couldn't believe it. In a crazy twist of events, JJ Maybank loves Stevie Routledge. She definitely loved him but she was scared of labelling it as love. What would happen if she said she loved him? A relationship? She didn't think either of them were ready for that, and John B definitely wasn't going to be ready to see his friend and sister together.

"Stevie?" Kie asked lightly, touching her arm to snap her out of her trance, "did you hear the plan?"

"Sorry yeah." Stevie turned back to face the girls, lying that she heard any of the plans.

"Are you ok?" Sarah asked, "You seem a bit-"

Sarah couldn't finish what she was going to say as Stevie had finally caught sight of JJ. "Sorry." She said to the girls as she stood up and b-lined for the blond boy. "JJ?" She asked but he walked past her, going straight to Kie, "JJ, can I talk to you?"  she tried again but got no response, "JJ!" she said in a sharper tone resulting in his head jerking back to look at her but he didn't say anything. He looked at her blankly, like their eyes had never met before, and then he turned back to talk to Kie.

A stone of guilt sat on her heart. He didn't even look angry at her, just blank.

They had melted down the blocks so that the wheat symbol wasn't traceable and left to try and sell it at a pawn shop. It was a slightly risky plan seeing as they were 6 teens with a huge hunk of gold but it was their best plan. JJ lied and haggled with the shopkeeper but obviously, they didn't have $70,000 sitting around so she redirected the Pogues.

"They keep money out here?" Pope asked, slightly confused by this mystery warehouse.

"That's what she said," JJ noticed his joke, "Ha, that's what she said,"

Stevie found herself smiling slightly at the bad joke but quickly suppressed it due to the tension between her and JJ right now.

"I've never even heard of Resurrection Drive," Sarah stated, and Stevie agreed.

" 'cause you're rich," JJ responded, although it didn't really make any sense as he hadn't heard of it either, as Kie told him.

"There's nothing but weeds back here." Kie pointed out in a confused manner, why would the pawnbroker send them out to the middle of nowhere?

"Guys," Stevie noticed a car following them and then it blasted red and blue lights, "Shit it's cops."

"Out here?" the pogues questioned, "we didn't do anything"

The group frantically hid any contraband including the big hunk of gold, Stevie patted herself down and found a spliff in her shorts. It was a minor comfort to know JJ didn't bring the gun but obviously, he had a lot of weed in his bag. Before the man came to the side of the window they stashed everything under JJ's seat and tried to remain calm.

A gun cocked.

"Why don't you just go ahead and see those hands in the air?" A man in a skeleton mask held a gun next to John B's temple. "All of y'alls hands in the air right now!" He shouted, making Stevie flinch. She could barely hold her hands up still without shaking.

John B carefully got out of the car, to the man's request, still with his hands up before opening the side door to let the others out. Sarah put our first followed by Pope and Kie. "There you go, pretty girl," He said as Stevie got out of the van with JJ behind her. She tensed up further. And in any normal situation, she'd try and fight back but she froze.
