PRINCESS JUNIPER ANNALISE DUPONT was a young child when the death of her mother came around. she died from childbirth, along with the baby, leaving juniper as an only child, and her father lonely. even though she was considered slightly royal she didn't find it a big deal, only longing for her fathers love. attention.

he never remarried. he became distant and cold to juniper. and she never understood why. she did strike remarkable resemblance to her late mother although she didn't think that was the reason.

she never liked the nanny's she had around so she'd keep to herself, her nose always in a book, even though her father always told her she'd never need to know how to read in life. she thought that was foolish.

growing up, juniper was around lots of english folk, hence her accent being a clear and visible British one, the french accent only coming out when she spoke her native language.

she excelled in her studies, doing an advanced course in anything she could. and she loved stars. oh stars.. she could look between the heavens and the earth for hours. juniper didn't remember much about her mother but two things; she named juniper after jupiter, and she'd call her junie.

everywhere juniper went with her mother she'd hear "junie." so it stuck with her. she missed her mother most days since she was known to argue with juniper's father's decisions. and the one day juniper wished and prayed to the gods that her mother could reincarnate just to argue with her father, none of them listened.

juniper sat on her small couch in the large estate they had as her father barged in. "juniper annalise dupont." he says rather alarming as she looks up. "yes father?" she says to the man with pale skin in front of her.

her mother was the one of color, which got her father critiqued when he married her. but he didn't care for color, he cared for love. "junie, as you know, our title, our estate, everything has been jeopardized." he says using her nickname no one dared saying off their tongue.

"yes father?" she says once again but knowingly. "i've found a way to fix it- well me and emmanuel have." her father says. emmanuel was her cousin on her white side but they were close as buttons if you could say.

"how can you save years worth of blood, sweat and tears that are being jeopardized by the parliament?" juniper asks rather fed up. "you are marrying the king." her father says plainly. "the king father? of what.. my loo?" juniper asks sarcastically with a laugh as her father lets out a hearty chuckle.

"the king of england and ireland of course. king george the third." her father clarified as she started at him in mere shock. "no disrespect father, but there is no way in tarnation i'm doing that." juniper proclaimed.

"it's final. i've signed all the documents, and your cousin is to take you to england in 21 hours time." junipers father, fredrick says as she gets up and slams her book down. "you've signed me off to be what?.. t-the queen of england? there's absolutely no way father!" juniper complains.

"why would they even want someone who looks like me?" juniper asks as her father scoffs. "looks like what junie?" he asks as she rolls her eyes. "like this! i am brown father! you know no one of such high power like the king has married someone like me! someone brown..." juniper says as her fathers gaze softened.

"you're beautiful darling. and you'll make an extraordinary queen, a fierce one. i know it." fredrick says as he brushes one of junipers rouge curls from her face as she lets out a huff. "what if i do not love him father." she says quietly.

"then look between the heavens and the earth and find what you love, find your peace." he says as he pats her shoulder before walking out.
