AS JUNIPER STEPPED FOOT in george's "one of a kind observatory" she looked around at the subtle mess that filled the room. she hoped that whatever george had been planning was worth bringing her all the way to kew at the peak of the afternoon."come on, step here june." george instructed as juniper stepped onto the platform that the telescope was on. "what am i to do?" she asked softly as george messed with a few things then cleared his throat.
"place your eye near the glass, and admire." george said simply as juniper did as told. as she looked into the night sky a planet came into her vision, jupiter. "i've been studying it, along with venus." george says as he watching juniper stare in awe.
"it is beautiful." juniper said calmly as she felt a presence staring at her. "it is," george says, his words stretched out. juniper then suddenly looked at him as his head jolted, almost as if he had gotten caught staring.
she shrugged it off as she went back to looking at the planet her mother adored so much to name her first born child after. "what are you thinking of, june?" george asks breathlessly as juniper sighs.
"many things," she said truthfully. "like?" he asked, indicating he had all the time in the world to listen to her. "well for one, i am thinking of my mother, and how she adored this planet. but i am also thinking of my father." she admited.
"and why's that?" george asked as juniper no longer looked into the telescope, and now at him. "because i remember i asked him a question, a ways back.. and he told me something that is still stuck with me." juniper says as george stares at her in a way of letting her know to continue.
" 'then look between the heavens and the earth and find what you love, find your peace.'." juniper repeated slowly, letting the saying slip off her tongue. "what was it that you needed to find peace from...?" george asked curiously.
"you sure do ask lots of questions- but i adore it. it shows you are listening, listening to me."juniper says as george nods his head. "i am a very good listener." he declared juniper let out a small laugh. "to be entirely truthful....i pondered on whether or not i could bring myself to ever love you." she admitted without any shame.
"do you still ponder over that june?" he asked hopefully as he slowly approached juniper. "now more than ever. with you here.. and me there." she says truthfully. the room was then filled with a mixture of uncomfortable but yet such comforting silence.
"now what?" juniper asked quietly. "we go back to buckingham house." he says with a smile. "yeah?" juniper asked, a smile threatening to burst from her face. "yeah." george said as he grabbed a hold of his wife's hand and walked her out to her carriage.
on the ride home- that still felt funny for juniper to say, but on the ride home her stomach was in jumbles. this would be the first time her and george actually spent a night together in the same house, the same room.
as they arrived juniper graciously took george's hand as she spoke up. "why must we travel in separate carriages?" she asked as the walked the halls. "it is to protect any future heir. but obviously that wasn't helpful this journey, but after tonight, maybe it will be." george says slyly as juniper playfully hits his arm.
the two then separated as juniper went to her chambers to change. she wore a beautiful baby pink night gown with an elegant champagne colored silk robe to top it. her curls were down, as a few rouge pieces framed her face, hopefully to junipers aid, covering her blushing face. as she walked down the hall and entered george's room she was met by silence as the door shut behind her.
"you look astronomical." george murmured as juniper began to blush once more. she then took a look at her outfit choice as she sighed. "the gown is pretty, though i am starting to regret my choice... this one seems to have mille petits boutons." juniper said as she nervously fiddled with them, unconsciously switching to french.
"june... i do love when you speak french, but what?" george asks with a short stifled laugh. "a thousand tiny buttons.." she said nervously with a breathy laugh. he then scanned the girl from head to toe which left an unfamiliar bubbly sensation in junipers stomach as he spoke up.
"i'm very good with buttons." he says surely as he slowly approaches the girl. he then softly connects their lips as he once did on their wedding day but this time more fiery, more needy. he then pulls away as he takes a breath.
"juniper, you do know what happens on our wedding night?" he asks breathlessly as she nods. "i've seen... drawings and heard.. things." she says hesitantly. "that is good to know." he says smiling as he goes back for another kiss.
as their lips connect juniper places her hand on his chest slightly moving him back. "though i do not like the part where my head constantly hits the wall.... is there a way to avoid that?" she asks softly as george lightly chuckles.
"there most certainly is." george says as he continues to work on removing junipers buttons. within minutes junipers consciousness was taken to another place she had yet to discover. the way george made her feel was an unexplainable thing.
she felt safe, as he talked to her, gently moving her rouge curls out of her face and as held her securely. in that moment she couldn't bother herself to think of the times george had made her feel upset or unwanted, all she thought it was how she was immersed in the new feeling george brought to her and she knew it was something she'd grow to love.
n,
not me being consistent with updates🤯
also like whenever he compliments her it will like almost always be "you look" or "you are" 'astronomical' bc like she's named after a planet and he takes that into consideration bc he's so thoughtful (i'm the real genius thoughtful one🤥)
