AS BOTH JUNIPER AND GEORGE'S heads perched up they were met by the sight of junipers father and his bride. "your majesty.." junipers father mumbles as he bows to george then simply just stares at juniper.

"tu ne vas pas t'incliner? je veux dire que je suis devenue la reine que tu m'as vendue après tout." juniper says as her father sighs. "ne faites pas de scène devant le roi et catherine." her father demands as he clears his throat and smiles over to george and catherine who were having a short conversation.

"le roi est mon mari george. so whatever i do or say will be no secret to him father." juniper says, finishing her sentence in english and earning looks from george and catherine. "your majesty, allow me to introduce catherine to juniper." her father says politely as george steps aside.

"juniper it is lovely to meet you! i'm sorry to say i do not speak any french but i try." catherine says, her thick irish accent peeking through. but the only juniper could notice was the ring on her finger as she gently grabbed ahold of junipers hand.

she had junipers mothers ring on. "is this the ring my father gave you?" she asks curiously. "yes.. isn't it lovely!" she says happily as anger bubbles up in junipers stomach. "you gave her mothers ring?" she asks her father, interrupting his conversation with george.

"junie, not now please." her father says sternly. "don't call me that. you told me you buried my mother with that ring on. and you lied," juniper says as she walks out of her bedroom. her father quickly wanted to follow but george was faster as he made his way outside into a garden.

he found juniper sitting on the edge of the fountain as he took a seat next to her. "why do you think he lied?" george asked softly, trying to strike a conversation. "why does the earth revolve around the sun george? it just happens, he lies. but it has never been for something this big." juniper says with sarcasm lacing through her voice.

"catherine seems like nice woman though.." george says as juniper scoffs. "obviously george, that is why i'm even more upset. she's too good for my father. my mother was too good for my father. and now he's given her the ring..." juniper says.

"my father used to be an excellent man- from what i've heard. then after i was born, when my mother died, he changed. he always liked to tell me he'd never find anyone who could be the sun to his earth, bringing light into his life like my mother did. but he lied." juniper finishes with a sigh.

"for what it's worth, i don't think i'd be able to find anyone who would boss me around like you, or bring light to my life like the sun and earth." george says cheekily as juniper hides a blush.

"stop doing that thing." juniper demands with a laugh. "what thing?" george asks laughing. "using your manly, king charm on me.." she says as he laughs. "juniper, i'm very sorry.. i had no clue it was your mothers ring. please i insist you have it!" catherine says as she reaches juniper and george.

"catherine, it was a very nice reception. i wish you and my father the best, however that may be. keep the ring. i wouldn't want to hold onto his lies." juniper says as her father comes into sight.

she then gives catherine a wave as she intertwined her arm with george's and they walked away to their carriage. "you know we've never been in a carriage together besides our wedding night.." george says as they reach the carriage.

"just for that, i'm sitting across from you." juniper says as she sits opposite of george. "oh please." george says sassily as he shuffles and sits right next to juniper. "you know the first time i came to london- when i had to marry you, i wore a corset made out of whale bones." juniper says as george looks at her shocked.

"whale bones?" he asks just to make sure he heard right. "worst pain of my life." she says as she sees george touching his outfit in the corner of her eye. "calm down george, you definitely don't have a corset on, let alone one with whale bones." she says laughing.

"i'm sorry june." george blurts out after a moment of silence. "for what?" she asks as she plays with his hands that are rested in her lap. "for this whole thing, but truth be told i had no clue i was marrying you until the day before." george says as juniper looks up at him.

"me neither, father woke me up one morning, told me he had a way to save our estate, our titles." juniper begins as she continues to play with george's hand. "he told me i'd be marrying you. and truthfully i thought you were an old wrinkly man." juniper says as george puts his hand to his chest offendedly.

"just kidding, i read papers. you've never told me your age though." juniper points out. "but i know you know it.." george says as juniper laughs. "i do." she mumbles. "why wouldn't anyone answer my question on whether you were the slightest bit good looking?" juniper asks.

"because they wanted to get me married quick, no questions asked. they wanted no room for doubt." he says with a shrug. "i asked them about you too." he confesses. "what did they say?" juniper asks with a smile.

"reynolds told me that brimsley said you were beautiful." george says as juniper laughs. "brimsley said that?" she asks, having speculated that brimsley took a liking more to males then herself.

"yeah, and he surely didn't tell a lie." george says as a blush creeps onto juniper face. she then playfully shoves him and he buries his face into the crook of her neck.
