JUNIPER FELT DIFFERENT AFTER her official wedding night with george. it felt nice to feel warmth as she slept through the night, knowing her bed wasn't half as empty as it was when the pair first married.

as she twisted and turned she grew curious as to why george wasn't next to her, or in the room at all. as she quickly rung the bell and got dressed with the help of her ladies, she made her way down the hall as she ran into brimsley.

"just the person i was looking for.." she mumbles as she approached brimsley but he instantly took five steps back. "five steps please juniper." he says quietly as other guards watch them with looks on their face.

"right sorry." she says quickly as she backs up, knowing he didn't mean it in a rude way but rather in an informative one. "erm, where is george?" she asks as she looks around. "oh. he is speaking with his mother at the moment." brimsley says with a sour look on his face.

"she is here?" juniper asks quietly as he nods. she then picks up her gown as she makes her way to where george and his mother were, brimsley five steps behind. right before juniper walked in she heard george raise his voice so she took a step back, hiding behind the big door.

"you told me to wed..." george begins. "for the sake of the crown, yes i did." the dowager princess says as george scoffs. "you told me to charm her to make it easier for the crown. i did." george says sternly. "i have done my best, mother. you told me i could not let her know me because i had to protect the secrets of the crown.. i have not, my own wife doesn't know me." george says as juniper stands listening with an unexplainable emotion.

"you told me to bed her. i have done so! i understand!" george yells as juniper feels like a knife has been driven in her heart. "it has been abundantly clear since my first breath that i was born for the happiness or misery of a great nation and consequently must often act contrary to my passions." george says as his mother sighs.

"i am the picture of duty. the crown resides within me, embedded like a knife! you do not need to explain it to me, mother." he says pointing at her as juniper debates on whether or not she's heard enough.

"it is me!" george yells as juniper turns to brimsley. "i'll have my breakfast now, there is no reason to wait." she says to brimsley, wiping the small tear from her cheek.

AROUND A FEW DAYS later it was officially the day juniper would become queen of great britain and ireland. she was nervous to say the least but she had more things on her mind. her and george hadn't been speaking ever since he realized juniper began to ignore him.

they'd be cold and distant but they only agreed on one thing. one day as juniper was in her observatory reading about different planets she heard the door creak. as she looked up she took sight to george who slowly approached her.

"what?" she asked as she felt his gaze on her. he then nervously cleared his throat. "if you are here to speak to me about me becoming with child i will not hear it." juniper says remembering his last pursuits.

"-juniper. don't be like that." george says as he rubs his eyes. "be like what george? upset that i am basically forced to lay with a man who can't seem to tell the truth?" juniper says as she stands up.

"what ever you heard...-." george begins. "-i heard a lot." juniper says as she looks at him, his face with a vulnerable expression on it. "even days.. get out." she says simply. "even days... what?" he asks. "the even days of the week are when i will lay with you." she says as if it was simple.

"juniper-." george begins. "even days or no days george. i already can not stand you and you are pushing it." juniper says as he sighs with one hand on his hip. "fine." he says as he walks out.

now a few days later here they were holding hands like the frauds they were after the crowns got placed on their heads. "god save the king." they chanted as the crown was placed on george's head. "god save the queen." they chanted as the crown was placed on juniper's head.

as they rode in the carriage together smiling at the bystanders they were relieved once they made it back to the palace. "clear the halls brimsley." juniper says through a fake smile. as they walked in the pair instantly let go of each other's hands.

"pouvez-vous s'il vous plaît enlever cette couronne de ma tête?" juniper pleads with brimsley as he looks at her funny but then connects the dots, assisting her in taking the crown off of her head.

as they made their way down the hall to their separate rooms they heard either brimsley or reynolds clear their throat. "what?" juniper asks impatiently. "it is an even day, obviously." george says obnoxiously.

"we do not have to adhere to every even day." juniper states fed up. "we do not." george says dragging his words. reynolds then obnoxiously clears his throat as george sighs. "we did agree to even days." george says matter-of-factly.

"we did." juniper says surely. "the sooner you are with child, the sooner we can cease this.... performance." georgie says as juniper rolls her eyes. "our duty will be done.. et je n'aurai plus à voir ton visage." she says, secretly insulting him in french.

"are you coming?" she asks as she walks past him, already in the process of undoing her gown. "yes, because i'd very much like the opportunity to no longer hear your voice." he says dramatically as he begins unbuttoning his shirt and making his way to the bedroom.
