Arohi's POV:

I don't know why but I woke up late. I feel so lethargic today. I walked into the kitchen to see my son cooking some poha.

" Oh, Mumma! Did you wake up? I made some poha. Please go and freshen up." He smiled as soon as he saw me. My baby is so mature.

I nodded and made my way to the washroom to clean myself. If I leave now, I know I won't be bathing today, so I had my bath as well. I wore a simple salwar kameez and walked into the dining hall to see my son setting up everything. I got a water bottle from the fridge and poured the water into the glasses.

I'm half done with the breakfast and Anshu cleared his throat.

" Mumma?" He called me slowly.

" Don't you think we need to meet him?" He asked and I stiffened.

" I don't think so, Anshu. I'm ok this way." I said monotonously.

" You are just okay Mumma, you are not happy. Listening to his baby and him, I feel that there is a very big reason why he left you." Anshu said holding my hand.

" I don't want to know that reason, Anshu. It's been 26 years and let it be that way." I said and he is not agreeing with me.

" I agree but I also bet that you won't be having a peaceful sleep until you know about him and that reason," Anshu said firmly and I feel like he is not going to end this topic anytime soon.

" What do you want me to do then?" I asked eating the last spoon of my poha and leaning back onto the chair.

" Let's go to him. Today. Remember they invited us to come to their home this Sunday?" Anshu asked not meeting his eyes with me.

So, he wants to go there and he found this way of pestering me.

" I feel that you are so excited to meet your Papa Anshu?" I asked folding my hands and raising an eyebrow.

"What nonsense Mumma? You speak whatever you want to!" He got up offended and took his plate to the kitchen. I can see his tensed face from behind. I know my little rascal's intentions. If he wants to know about his father, then I'd definitely take him to Arjun.

Don't lie Arohi. Your heart is so desperate to see your love too. My conscience spoke and I have to suppress her.

Suppressing me won't take you anywhere Arohi. Just embrace the truth. There she goes again. Pops up whenever she wishes.

We washed our dishes and sat on the sofa to watch the TV. I turned on the channel that he dislike the most Yet he is looking at it with keen interest. There are girls in bikinis and half-naked but his eyes are on the TV screen. I want to laugh at this guy. His eyes are somewhere and his thoughts are somewhere.

I cleared my throat and he came back from the trance. He looked at the TV and then at me.

" What the heck did you put Mumma?" He screamed scared and looked away.

He got up to leave but my words held him back.

" Don't want to go to Arjun's house?" I asked and he immediately turned with a smile that was threatening to come out.

" OK then. Why would I say no, if you want to meet your love?" He said and that got me out of the seat.

" Stop there you little rascal. You pestered me to go there and now you are pushing the whole blame on me?" I screamed and he rushed to his room.

He came back after an hour all fresh in good clothes. The doorbell rang and I went towards it looking at my son suspiciously. I see a small smile that he is trying to cover up. I opened the door and there is a delivery guy with flowers and some packages.

" Arohi Ahuja mam?" He asked and I nodded.

" A delivery for you. Please sign here mam." He said and handed me a bunch of flowers, a chocolate box and some fruits. I thanked that guy and was about to close the door but he humbly asked for a selfie. His face looked tired but that smile is so charming which is worth billions.

" I have a condition then." I said with a smile and he looked hesitant.

" I won't post it anywhere ma'am." He said nervously.

" Come inside and have some savouries," I asked and he looked taken aback.

" Ma'am, me?" He asked uncertainly.

" I don't see anyone other than you here," I said and he nodded no politely.

" I have other orders to deliver mam. Please understand." He said and I feel pity for him. This reminded me of the initial days of my career when I took so many jobs to make both ends meet.

" I agree. No issues." I said and took his mobile for a selfie.

" Thank you, mam." He sounded so happy that made me feel content.

" Anshu get a sweet box beta," I yelled and my doting son came back with a sweatbox. I gave him and he thanked me.

" Don't forget to tag me if you post it on social media" I screamed when he almost disappeared. I heard his beautiful chuckle with a feeble 'sure'.

" You always do that." He mumbled and I turned him around placing the flowers, fruits and chocolates on the table.

" What are these for?" I asked with my hands on my waist and he just shrugged combing his raven hair. He got that from Arjun.

" We can't go empty-handed to someone's house. My mother taught me that. Don't you at least know that? It's basic etiquette." My son boosted and I couldn't hold myself back. That kid is so eager to come out of him which he coffined for the past 20 years. If knowing Arjun makes him happy, then I'll take him there.

I got Kia's number from the NGO and I texted her for Arjun's address. That girl looked so excited for us. She always wanted us together so she immediately texted his address.

" Shall we go?" Anshu asked and I nodded. My son is smelling good, wearing good, and looking good. I don't know whom he is trying to impress.

We got into his car and I'm nervous. I looked at the flowers and sighed. It's the Peach Roses and Orange Tulips. I sucked my breath. Does this boy know the meaning of these flowers?

" Who is going to hand these flowers to Arjun?" I asked him seriously

" Who is going to hand these flowers to Arjun?" I asked him seriously.

" You." He mumbled and I released and deep sigh. Anshu is getting on my nerves these days.
