Arjun's POV:
I can see how Kia handled everyone so easily. This little lady is something else.
" I... I had Melanoma. It used to...." I was hurriedly cut off by the Mother-Son duo.
" Melanoma? What's it?" They together asked.
" Skin Cancer." I breathed and they gasped.
" Is that why you wouldn't let me touch you, Arjun?" Arohi asked broken, her eyes filled with tears. Anshu is looking at me astonished. His turned stone until I placed my hand on his. I nodded at Arohi and passed a gentle smile.
" I used to feel like someone was pricking me with the needles and pulling my nerves out. Sometimes, I had no other option other than crying. My muscles turn sore that I won't even be able to move an inch. It wants to make me die when I touch the cold water. The experience was horrible. But you used to hit me." I laughed a lot and she cried mumbling sorries.
" I'm sorry Arjun. I'm really sorry. You could have told me. Why didn't you trust me?" She asked holding my hand.
" I... I just don't want to see you sad. I thought you would hate me if I leave you than seeing me die." I said and I heard a huge sigh from Anshu.
His tears are at dangling on his lashes while his head is cast down.
" Anshu, beta what happened?" I asked and he nodded no looking away and wiping his tears.
" Your bachcha is feeling sad Arjun," Kia said and went back to sleep.
" How can she sleep when you are telling such important news?" He asked with his red eyes that hold tears.
" Because she heard this like a million times." I shrugged and Arohi looked sad.
" I don't know how was I even alive. I thought I would be dead the day I left you and entered the OT but I don't know what happened, I was alive. I'm so sorry Aru, I don't know you were pregnant with Anshu. I was comatose for 6 years. When I was up and shifted here, this little lady had always been my cheerer and my entertainer. I saw my Anshu in her." I said and Anshu kind of looked angry.
" I'm sorry but I'm your child. It makes me feel bad to see you call her your baby." He spilled his frustration and I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
" I love her Anshu but I love you 10 folds greater. " I said and he looked a bit satisfied. I don't know that I gave birth to a jealous man.
" You were really in a coma?" He asked and I nodded having nothing else to say. He gently poked my skin and I laughed loud which woke my little baby up.
" It doesn't pain anymore Anshu. I'm alright." I said softly and Kia looked at all of us in pure irritation.
" Done with the family reunion?" She asked and Anshu looked at her blankly.
" Yes, I guess and now we are heading back home." He said and my heart stopped. I confessed everything so that they can stay back but he want to take his Mumma away.
" Oye hero! Where do you want to take your Mumma? I asked you for a favour remember?" She asked and I see the rowdy side of hers now. Entertaining, if you all ask me.
" I remember and Siddhansh Ahuja never backs from his word." Anshu gritted. I don't want my kids to fight like some street dogs.
" Kids, behave like some civilians." Arohi warned and I chuckled. I looked at her to see her already looking at me. Those eyes hold the same love again, just like 26 years back. I saw her lips mumble a sorry while her eyes are pleading me. I gently circled my hand around her waist and kissed her forehead. The environment turned silent and Arohi stilled. I looked around to see Kia on Anshu ready to hit him but they both are looking at me.
" Di you just kiss my Mumma?" Anshu asked with an unknown expression.
" Yes, I guess." I answered chuckling with uncertainty.
" How... how can you kiss her? You people are not even married!" He asked with irritation which had me laugh.
Kia hit him on his head and smirked.
" I'll ask that favour now. Get Arohi Aunty married to Arjun. Then, I'll forgive you." She said and I'm quite excited. She is my baby. She would do anything for me.
" No." Came his low answer.
" You want to carry the guilt of hurting me physically your whole life Siddhansh? It hurt me so much that I was hospitalised. I wasn't able to eat anything for 2 days. I pleaded you with my 2 beautiful light eyes and your stone heart didn't even melt. You tightened your hold on my neck that it cut the oxygen and I was about to die. You don't even care to apologise that person who want to bring your family together. I don't know in which kind of world I'm living." She got her tone down as her rant ended. Arohi hid behind me and laughed while I pressed my hands against my lips to not laugh.
Anshu looked like he is drowned in guilt.
" I'm sorry Kia. I was angry then." He whispered with guilty eyes. Kia took that as the chance and she played along. She is one witch who manipulates everyone with her words.
" But you promised me that you'll do anything I ask and you won't go back from your words." She said innocently playing with his shirt buttons.
" What do you want?" He asked and she repeated the same wish. He thought for a while and looked at his Mumma.
" Will it make you happy Mumma?" He asked and Arohi looked at me.
" I didn't get a chance to ask you then but now, I will. Will you marry me Arohi? I want to lead a peaceful life with you and Anshu." I asked gently holding her hands. I heard a loud whistle from Kia and laughed. She will always be there to make a scene more interesting and entertaining.
" I will marry you Arjun." She said and the world around me stilled. She accepted me.
" I'll be the person to lead your wedding both of you. I'll plan your dates, I'll make sure that you both have those cozy moments you missed." She grinned still sitting on Anshu which made me feel uncomfortable.
I see Anshu's eyes are glistering in a different way. To my knowledge, he never let girls touch him, and he simply let he sit on him and threaten. He simply obliges it. There is something fishy in it.
I need to discuss this with Arohi.
I looked at my women and she looked happy seeing the kids and me.
" I love you." I whispered and she looked stunned. Tears brimmed in her eyes while I felt guilty.
" I know that it took 27 years to reciprocate my feelings for you. But my love never changed for you Aru. I love you so much that I came back alive for you." I expressed my profuse feelings and she hugged me.
