Author's POV:
The light cold breeze that's emitting from the opened windows caused Kia to shudder. A small whimper escaped her mouth as the duvet barely covered her naked body. She leisurely opened her eyes and looked at the white ceiling.
She looked at the traitor who was trying to steal her duvet and it turned out to be her husband who was sleeping soundly.
His light-tanned body exposed his soft muscles and the light 5'o clock stubble made him look super adorable.
" Siddhansh! Gimme some duvet." Kia whined pulling the duvet. Siddhansh unaware of his wife's rant slept letting her fight for the duvet. She pulled the duvet to her and her eyes fell on Siddhansh who slept just in the underwear. Seeing Siddhansh in such a state didn't go well with Kia. A little frown etched on her forehead as her body started turned warm in panic.
She looked at herself and there were no name of clothes on her body.
" Siddhansh!" Her voice quivered in panic.
" SIDDHANSH!" she screamed crying in fear. Siddhansh immediately sat up as soon as he heard his wife scream. He looked to his side and saw Kia's eyes full of tears and the duvet pulled to her chest.
" What happened Kia? Are you alright?" Siddhansh asked looking at her confused. He saw her shivering and crying.
" Kia, stop crying and answer me." Siddhansh asked grimly.
" What happened with us last night?" She asked looking into his eyes as if he betrayed.
" Kia, Dewdrop, listen to me." Siddhansh started as he didn't know how to explain what happened between them last night. Kia closed her eyes in grief at what she did.
" Did we cross the line Siddhansh?" She asked looking at him expectantly. And to her dismay, he slowly nodded looking at her.
" Kia, listen to me first. Both of us were drunk and we....." Siddhansh was brutally cut off by her slap.
" That doesn't give you any right to sleep with me, Mr. Siddhansh Dalvi." She screamed crying badly.
" We didn......" He immediately stopped explaining as soon as those words left her mouth.
" It's so cheap of you to take advantage of me when I was drunk." She cried in despair. Her whole body turned pink in anxiety and panic.
" I'm sorry." Siddhansh mumbled looking into the space and his eyes blurred with tears. His heart wanted to answer her but his self-respect stopped him.
" Your sorry doesn't fix anything Siddhansh." She spatted angrily. His ears are ringing with echoes of her previous words that didn't let him hear any of her current words.
She clutched the duvet to her breast and stared at her husband, who was not looking at her.
She rushed to the washroom and puked seeing the love bites on her skin. She shivered as she touched them. Her sobs were unrestrained, and she felt as if her entire body was on fire. She tried scrubbing all those marking trying to remember what had happened last night but it only added more to her headache.
Kia came out of the washroom in a rope and looked at the bed to find Siddhansh nowhere. She is mortified to the level to even call out his name. Her face, eyes and nose are so red that one would think she was punched.
She pulled on a thick hoodie and it remained her of the last evening where they cared for each other. Even before her traitor tear leave her eye, she wiped it off. She jumped into a Denim jeans and walked into the Atrium to see Siddhansh talking to the receptionist about checking out. And then it hit her, it's their last day here and she was relieved that she don't need to see his face or travel with him.
" Thank you sir. Have a nice day ahead." The receptionist spoke with a large smile while Siddhansh nodded with a grim face.
He went back to his room and saw Kiara sitting on the bed with her luggage all packed. He roughly pulled all his clothes out and stuffed in his suitcase.
" The flight is scheduled this afternoon." Siddhansh spoke avoiding facing her.
Their whole flight journey was silent and to Kiara's dismay, he was seated just next to her. When ever her gaze fell on her for some or the other reason, those harsh moments surfaced her make the tears pool again and again. She felt immense pain trying to control her sobs. While on the other hand, Anshu looked pained seeing her totally misunderstanding her. He let everything slide but today she bruised his self-respect so much that he chose to ignore everything.
Arohi sent them a car and their way towards their home was so silent that even their breaths are scared to let out their sounds.
" Thank you Bhaiyya." Kiara mumbled and took the luggage from the trunk running into Arjun's Villa. Siddhansh looked at her retreating figure and he slowly made into his new home.
Kia looked at Arjun who is looking at her with a mischievous glint, but his smile dropped seeing Kia's eye pooling with tears. Arjun stood up and Kia ran into his arms. Neither Kia spoke anything nor Arohi. She looked as confused as Arjun.
" Is my favourite child alright?" Arjun asked trying to jest but he understood that something grave happened as his shoulder got wet.
" Kia?" He softly called her but Kia moved away and ran to her or may be her and Anshu's room unable to hold her hiccups.
" Get a grip bitch! Try not to cry like a cry baby." She screamed slapping herself.
Arohi looked at the threshold to see Anshu is looking at her with his heart piercing eyes. He looked like he was drained.
Arohi moved forward to ask something but stopped as soon as her son spoke. " Not now Mumma." He told gulping so hard not to show his vulnerable side making both Arjun and Arohi looked at each other. They thought sending Anshu and Kia somewhere might bring them together but this one week have parted them in a worse way possible.
One's heart broke in misunderstanding while the other's broke as they missed the understanding.
But one thing for sure, neither of them are ready to a step forward to know what the truth is.
