"Beth we need you!" Dawn yelled, but Beth just stood still "Beth!" Dawn yelled again

Beth blinked her eyes a few times before rushing over to help Dawn

"Take her in that room and hook her up to the machines. Give her something to help the pain!" She yelled again helping Beth take the unknown women into the room before disappearing.

Beth did what she was told by getting her medicine and hooking her up to the machines. My room was right across the hall so I could see when she had finished. She walked out of the room and took a deep breath before sliding down the wall and placing her head in her hands.

I decided to give her a few minutes to herself before I bothered her. Once I noticed the tears running down her face I couldn't just sit there. Beth has been there for me so many times since I have been here and now its mine turn to be there for her.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I sat on the floor next to her

She wiped her eyes and nose before responding "That women in there is my friend. Her name is Carol. She was part of my group has been for awhile."

"I'm sorry Beth." I said draping an arm over her shoulder

"It's fine, Carol's a fighter I know she'll be okay." she smiled before sighing and standing up

She reacher her hand out to help me up

"Come on you need to get some sleep I'm sure you have another long day ahead of you tomorrow."

"Are we ever going to get out of here? I know you said we would but the hope for that seems to lessen more and more each day" I asked her before she left my room

"I really hope so, I can't stand this place anymore. I miss my sister a lot"

"Me too, I really hope they are okay?" Beth gave me a hug instead of saying anything

"If you need me I'll be next store" she said before standing up and walking out

~The next morning~

"Kennedy, good your up I need you and Bryan to go and help Mrs. Malroy." Dawn said as soon as I stepped out of the room. I didn't even bother to respond, I just nodded my head and walked in the direction of her room with Bryan behind me.

Bryan was one of the guards. Dawn always had him go with me whenever I needed to check on patients or go to the medicine room. He was a nice guy but for some reason he just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was the fact that he was always staring at me. He was only nineteen so it wasn't a huge age gap but he still gave me the creeps.

"The stuff you are looking for should be in the drawer." he said pointing the desk. I made my way over to it and placed the key inside and grabbed what I needed.

"Alright lets go." I said beginning to walk out the door only to be stopped by Bryan

"What are you doing?" I asked

"Something I should have done a long time ago." before I could respond her grabbed my shoulders and forced me back into the room pushing me roughly against the wall. I let out a wail of pain from the force against my head.

He put his arms above me and started to lean in. I fidgeted to try and get away but that only made him angrier. He pushed me against the wall again with a lot more force and also slapping me across the face hard enough that it would probably bruise.

"Bryan please stop." I practically begged as he ran his hands up and down my sides

I continued to fidget but he didn't let up. I looked around the room for something to help me get him off but there was nothing. Until I heard slight moans coming from behind the desk. I knew what is was and I knew it was the only way but at the same time I am still human and I still have sympathy. I can't let someone die that way.

"Bryan we need to go" I said

"Dammit Kennedy! We are not going anywhere!" he screamed grabbing me again this time pushing me against the hard metal desk. He took a deep breath

"Now where were we" he chuckled but before he could do anything else the walker behind the desk got him

He let out a blood curdling scream. I tried to help but it was to late he was bit and there was no hope. I stood there speechless. It has been awhile since I saw a walker attack and to say the least I didn't take this one very well.

I walked out of the room with tears streaming down my face I needed to fide a quiet room away from everyone. Once i did I just paced around running my fingers through my hair still trying to process what just happened.

"Kennedy" I heard someone call I hurried up and wiped my face before answering

"In here"

"Hey are you alright" Beth asked

"Yeah" I said but the longer she looked at me the less I could hold it in. I ended up collapsing in her arms with tears streaming down my face.

"Hey hey its alright" she rubbed my back trying to calm me down.

"No it's not alright I need to get out of here. I need to find my brother and sister and go back to where we came from I can live my life in here!" I sobbed

"I know I know and I promise you we will." she put her hands on either side of my head looking me dead in the eye. We both hugged and began to make our way out the door.

When we made it into the hallway we saw Dawn and a group of three men arguing over who's side Carol belonged to. I looked over to Beth only to her he mumble the name "Rick" and then give a huge smile.
