"Beth come here." Dawn whispered once she heard Beth's voice. Reluctantly Beth made her way next to Dawn and behind Carol. "You to Kennedy." she said. I looked out of the corner of my eye once I was next to Beth to see that she had relief written on her face. Like she was scared I was going to have to be here all alone.
Once I finally saw how everyone was looking at each other I immediately began to feel anxious. I guess Beth could tell I was a little uneasy because she grabbed my hand behind the wheelchair. I didn't even bother to look at her.I was to afraid that if I did it wouldn't end well in my favor.
I saw that the group in front of us was the group Beth has been telling me about for the last few weeks. I've never met them before but by how much she told me about each one I feel like I've known them my whole life.
"One of mine for one of yours." Dawn yelled across to Rick. He nodded and then gave the guard he was holding a little push in our direction. Beth had pushed Carol up a little before one of the guards took over. Then the process repeated with Beth. But Beth didn't move right away. instead she grasped my hand tighter.
"I'm not leaving without Kennedy." Beth stated firmly looking Dawn straight in the eyes
"Absolutely not that's not part of the deal." Dawn said obvious anger in her voice
"Go." I whispered to Beth trying to get her to go. Yeah without Beth this place would be horrible but I can't let her pass up the opportunity to go back with her family.
"No i'm not leaving without you no matter how much you tell me to." Beth said continuing to hold my hand.
"Come on she's just a kid." I heard a male voice say from in front of us. if I could guess correctly I would have to say the voice belonged to Daryl.
Dawn looked at me then at Beth then Rick's group before saying fine. I didn't show it on the outside but on the inside I was ecstatic. Beth and I walked towards Rick while the women Rick was holding walked towards Dawn. Rick grabbed both of our shoulders looking down at us like he was making sure we were okay.
"Glad we could work things out." I could hear Dawn say as we were beginning to leave
"Yeah" Rick said turning to face her before beginning to walk again
"Now I just need Noah" Dawn said. Everyone stopped in their tracks "And then you can leave." Dawn said again
"That wasn't part of the deal" Rick growled walking towards Dawn
"And neither was Kennedy, but you took her." she stated matter of factly. "And besides Noah was my ward Beth took his place and now I'm losing her and Kennedy so I need him back."
One of the other guard interjected but Dawn shut her up as soon as she opened her mouth.
"My officers put their lives on the line to find him, one of them died." Noah began to walk away after Dawn said that but Daryl stopped him
"He ain't staying."
"He's one of mine you have no claim on him" Dawn snickered
"The boy wants to go home you have no claim on him" Rick stated
"Well then we don't have a deal" Dawn said
"The deal is done." Rick yelled beginning to walk towards Dawn but Noah stopped him
"I-its okay." he said but Rick stopped him
They began to argue for a few more seconds before I interrupted
"I'll go." I yelled and everyone looked at me "Noah has a family to get back to, I don't. Beth has a family right her waiting to take her home and I don't, so i'll go I have nothing better waiting for me on the outside." I said beginning to walk towards Dawn
"No!" Beth yelled I turned to look at her only to find her running towards me. She wrapped her arms around me and I did the same not wanting to let go .
"I knew you'd be back" Dawn said looking me in the eyes
Beth let go of me and then walked in front of Dawn so they were face to face.
"I get it now." Beth said and then there was silence before Beth lodged a pair of surgical scissors into Dawn's shoulder
What happened next was unspeakable. Time had literally slowed down around all of us.
Dawn's gun went off sending a bullet straight through Beth's brain.
"No!" I screamed my legs almost giving out from under me except somebody was there to catch me. I was to engulfed in staring at Beth's lifeless body that I didn't even realize Daryl had shot Dawn or that Noah was the one who caught me. More could've happened if the one guard didn't interrupt
"It's over." she yelled "It was just about her" Everybody continued to stare at each other with their weapons raised before the guard told everyone to stand down.
After weapons were lowered I saw that everyone who was with Rick somehow managed to keep it together besides Daryl. He looked like I did, big puffy watery eyes. Rick had watery eyes but refused to let them fall. Same with Carol.
Everyone was quiet as we left. Daryl was holding Beth's dead body in his arms because he said we couldn't just leave her like that. Noah still had a firm grasp on me like he was afraid if he let go I would just collapse. Which wasn't entirely a lie.
"What an awesome way to first meet huh." Noah said quiet enough so no one else could hear
"Your telling me." I replied and then silence took over once again
After what felt like forever we finally made it outside. I noticed right away there was a firetruck with more people gathered around it. As we got closer I noticed it was more of Rick's group.
Then the one person that I never stopped hearing about was right in front of us with a huge smile on her face. Maggie. She kept getting closer and closer until she saw Beth and completely fell to the ground screaming and balling her eyes out. Then who I'm assuming Glenn was there to try and hold her up. The scene that unfolded in these next few minuted were enough to last me a lifetime.
HEY GUYS I AM SO SO SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING IN FORVER!!! I KINDA LOST INTEREST IN THIS FANFIC ONCE THE SEASON ENDED BUT SINCE I WATCHED FEAR THE WALKING DEAD IM ALL FOR IT AGAIN!!!! IM HOPING TO HAVE ANOTHER CHAPTER UP TONIGHT. AND ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR READING AND LIKING ANF COMMENTING IT MEANS SO MUCH!!!!!
and again sorry for that bad editing I am going to go back once I have a few more chapters and fix everything.
