Our journey to Alexandria was a little more difficult than expected. It's not that it was extremely dangerous considering most of us were in an RV  on an abandoned road due to the fact that we had lost Glenn and the others when they drove straight into a herd of walkers. I freaked out so bad, Carl literally had to hold me down so I didn't do anything stupid. Carl and Maggie both ensured me everything would be alright, so after awhile I calmed down. I ended up falling asleep on Carl mostly because he had his arms wrapped around my shoulders.

We had stop at a the first building we found to help a guy with a broken ankle out. Little did we know This guy ended up being Aaron's boyfriend. A little bit later Rick, Glenn, Michonne, and Aaron finally managed to find us. We all agreed to spend the night in this building to collect ourselves and would start fresh in the morning.

We arrived at Alexandria with still enough daylight left which was surprising. It feels like we've been on the road forever. We got to the entrance only to notice the huge walls that were blocking the town.  I over heard Michonne ask Rick why he was so against coming here, and it because everywhere they have gone ended in horror.

He then proceeded to ask her about the things she heard when she went to Woodbury and Terminus to which she replied nothing to both. That's why he was so skeptical because every place that had walls, a sound could never be heard.

But the craziest thing occurred when we got to the gates. We heard laughter, and children playing.  It was something all of us haven't heard in a very long time.

We all got out of the cars and stood there taking in the scenery. Aaron was asking the guys to open the gates when Carl came up behind me.

"Do you trust this place?"

"I want to, but everything just feels so unreal. Like eventually this safety net will break apart just like everything else." I said and he nodded in agreement before shrugging his shoulders and began to walk inside.

Once inside we were all stunned at how well kept this place was. All the houses looked brand new and untouched, same with the other exteriors. It looked just like your typical wealthy neighborhood.

"Hand over your weapons." We heard someone say behind us

We all turn around and notice a tall scrawny guy standing a few feet away.

"No we're not going to do that." Rick said staring down the guy

Carl gave me a look as if I knew what to do or say. I just looked at him with wide eyes and shrugged not knowing what would happen next . Usually when Rick refused to hand over weapons things ended badly. People got killed or seriously injured. And in this moment no one was sure what would happen.

But before anything could, Aaron interrupted.

"I think you all should meet Deanna first."

We all looked at him and slowly Rick placed his gun back in his pocket.

We all agreed and followed Aaron to where Deanna lived.  When we walked in I noticed an older lady with reddish orange hair waiting patiently for us to all come in.

"Welcome I'm sure you are all aware by now that I'm Deanna. That's my husband Reg and my son Aiden. You met Nicholas already he was the one outside. Listen you guys are new here and aren't aware of how this place runs and I don't know you so what I'm going to do is interview you all individually so I can get a better understanding of you all and to figure out what jobs to place you in."
