Part 1 - Chapter 4

Family Reunion

I was crowned with the sacred Fire Lord piece of the insignia which used to be a stick inserted into our hair when we made a bun but my mom got it welded and attached a rubber band instead. She would always tie up a single braid and put it on at the end and I do it the same way. It felt presentable in a modern way. Most of the Royal families of all the nations did similar things except the Earth King and Queen. They still don their tribal outfits.

Sakhi was furious every day and she tried to foil my coronation with Uncle Ajay but my Mother banished her from Asia. That night was the last I saw the two of them and it's been two years until...

"Reminiscing, di?" she asked, sarcastically.

I snapped out of the memory almost immediately. And calling me Di huh.

"Yeah..." – pulling my braid to the front while holding out the tip to show the insignia heirloom pinned on it– "I'm sure you are too. I'm here alone. No Kova." I said, folding my arms.

Sakhi did notice that and it made her face change. I always enjoyed making her mad, I guess. Just not till the point where she gets exiled.

"Get her!" she shouted at the men near her.

Suddenly, all of the twenty hooded guys attacked me at once! I took a deep breath and punched out fire from both of my fists to cause some major damage but to my shock, none of them were singed! They seemed to be wearing some type of fireproof clothing. Damn! They surrounded me already!

"Don't think I've come unprepared!" she cackled.

"Only twenty for the Fire Lord? How inconsiderate!" I shout out, condescending her.

Three of the attackers stepped forward. Two of them punched and kicked out fire while I kept dodging but suddenly the ground under my feet started trembling and it started pulling me inside! I realized the third guy was an earth bender! Before the ground sunk till my ankle I leapt and kicked fire at their faces! They fell back while three guys blocked them with a wind gust! They were air benders! Ugh, it's slightly difficult here! I have to end this! I landed for a second but another earth bender was again sinking the ground under me! Oh no!

I leaped up immediately and circled a couple of times generating heat then pointed two fingers from each of my hands at their heads directly! The hit was successful and they were all knocked unconscious! Ajay ran behind with the others while Sakhi was shocked to see it!

"When were you taught to harness lightening?!" she exclaimed.

"I always knew. I just never told you." I replied.

Ajay reached next to Sakhi in a jeep and got down while the engine was still running.

"Let's go, Sakhi. Leave the boy for now. We have to get away while we still can!" he said.

Honestly, it keeps puzzling me why he is wholeheartedly with her. I thought he loved my aunt.

"Listen to your elders and leave!" I said.

She suddenly runs towards me and started punching out a huge amount of fire which I sucked in through my right hand. Immediately I punched it out through my left fist and she lifted her arms in a cross and deflected it. She kicks and punches out more fireballs which I quickly dodged and I started panting a little. I was getting fatigued. I needed Kova. Where is he? No, he can't come. Ajay can do something. I have to end this quickly as well.

She punched out another huge amount of fire which I tried to deflect but I was thrown back on the ground! I sat up grabbing my left side in slight pain while I noticed her running towards me with her fist closed! I suddenly lifted my left finger and shot out one big shot of lightening at her chest that instantly threw her back and she was knocked out cold. Dev rolled himself slightly away from the car and Ajay rushed over with another guy picking up Sakhi and Kova rushed over to me. Ajay picked up Sakhi and took her towards the car and gave a small glance to the three of us and they left immediately.
