Republic City 2
After a while of resting in our individual rooms, we changed and came back outside to set up the rest of our campsite. I collected some old logs of wood and lit a fire. Tark and Hiyori set up a couple of tents for the food to be placed in there and Naomi earthbended a few rocks raising them to form chairs near the fire with back and armrests.
"I still don't see your spirit, Asin." Said Naomi.
"He's going to be awhile, I guess. Republic City was a little close to him." I replied.
"Don't tell me that you chose this place just because of your spirit." Tark said, chuckling.
What do I make of that now? It sounded like belittling. I should explain-wait. Tark is known to make himself so presentable to the other person that people can't help but end up telling him all their secrets. He isn't just a Lieutenant. And most of the soldiers in armies of the nations are used in espionage, of course. Nobody would see a great war spark like how they used to.
"So, when should our formal meeting happen tomorrow? After lunch?" asked Hiyori.
"No, I suggest in the morning. We'll have time for other things later." I said.
They should not be roaming around then finding Dev. Not yet! I must leave him and Kova alone for as long as I can.
"Yes, that's a good idea. It's better if it's early." Said Tark, supporting it.
"I'm good either way." Said Naomi.
"Morning it is, then!" Hiyori beamed with excitement.
After eating and talking over dinner, everybody went inside their rooms in the building. As I was about to go into mine, one of the guardians coming from the direction of the city square silently arrived near me.
"The boy reached Avatar Korra a few minutes ago. The spirit tries to stop him but he insists on going further." She said, near my ear.
"Are they fine? Is he struggling a lot?" I asked
"No, he seems calm. Should I convey the message to stop?" she asked.
"No, let him be. Just send Kova to me in the morning." I said.
"Yes, my lord." She said and left swiftly running back towards the square.
I was about to turn and go into the building when Tark came and tapped on my shoulder. I felt a bit weirded out again.
"Were you talking to someone?" he asked.
"Just a guardian. I sent her to find Kova." I said.
"Okay..." – while fixing his hair a little – "Good night, my lord." He said.
"Lieutenant." I said with a nod.

The four of us met in the old Mayor's building on the other side of the main square and sat down in an old hall to discuss the different aspects of progress of every nation like territory, connections with the spirit world, new rules and new bending abilities. Kova had just entered when I and Hiyori finished our reports. I excuse myself and go outside with him.
"He went till Avatar Wan successfully, he really did!" whispered Kova in excitement.
"Avatar Wan? Which number is that?" I asked.
"The first one." He whispered.
I was stunned. There was no way this was happening. I didn't expect him to actually go all the way. I didn't even know the radiation in Republic City could help so much!
